Our squad just added another wing and so can we have the squad tex linked between them
-
I'm not sure how the game would know how/when/why to connect 2 or more wings(the game sees them as separate squads). Would be easier if you ask for an upping of the squad limit size oooor just have everyone in your wings tune to the same numbered radio channel.

I think the fact that there are IMHO, low caps on Squad max numbers that some squads have to create wings. Unless this has been changed and I am unaware that it has, squad members cant communicate to other wings in squad chat. I personally fail to see the reason for this. I believe the cap is 20 or 40 or IMHO some low number similar to these. I think that the cap on member limit should be opened up significantly.
Yeah not many people have ever had to deal with this but I have and I can tell you I dont like it one bit. Just my opinion.

Cap is 32 as I recall.....

Squad size is capped at 32. If you have two wings, you have two squads. This is an old topic.

One word...
VENTRILO
The VF-31 Tomcatters have 44± squaddies
-
I refuse to use Ventrilo due to the (exact) 20 FPS I lose when it's running. Even TeamSpeak is a little rough, but it's better on my system.
There's only two issues I can see with using numbered channels; a friendly can spy and/or accidentally trip onto your channel, and you can't cuss in text any more (oh noes!).

ROLLINGTHUNDER has about 68-72 if i recall. 4 whole wings.

Squad caps obviously serve a purpose. That purpose is to limit squad sizes to 32. Adapt and overcome. If you can build a "mega-sqwad" (and HT shrugs and laughs) large enough to tip eny and screw the perk-riders on the side you all log onto religiously on squad night then I doubt this request will build much momentum, sympathy or whatever .... from those who have yet to be assimilated into your MA club.
:D

Squad caps sound like a great idea... Espescially useful at conventions.

Ventrilo is a must, in-game vox is crappy at best and surely these mega squawds can afford the slots?
In-game is a backup/ pilot roster for us.

Personally, I've never understood the need for super quality. There's a guy who runs around practically pleasuring himself over his lossless audio codecs and the songs he has them in..and that he's torrenting them.
I'm perfectly happy with in-game VOX. I can understand what others are saying, I get the information out of it, and I don't lose 20 FPS.
But, then again...that's just me.

It's what the Pigs do. Two squads, 62 swine strong. Stay on the same vox and you are cool. The only pain is looking up squad members that are part of a different wing(.SR command).
-
I think this is a good idea. Instead of makeing the channel to talk to a squads wing 4, maybe make it 7. Just my 2 cents.

Perrynoid/OOZ,
Ventrilo has been the best thing that has happened to our squad. Ventrilo is ALOT better then Team Speak, by far.
I have not lost any Frame rates at all. I am still steady at 60FPS. Quality?... quality in VOX is the key to communication.
Btw, when will you be flying w/ us again? I have not seen you on in about 3 months.

Bruv, I hear ya bro. Ventrilo is 110% better then in-game VOX.

I haven't been on in about that long. I just haven't had the desire to fly, mixed with stacks of homework.
No, you haven't lost any FPS. Neither have most people. However, myself and another squad member at least experienced loss of at least 20 FPS in MA conditions with Ventrilo. I was able to use TeamSpeak just fine under DGS conditions, though.
