Love the new boards - but am a bit miffed that quantity counts over quality.

Surely, (Shirly) this will only encourage inane posting/replies.

It means nothing.. Why are you getting miffed at nothing?  IMO all that stuff needs to get scrapped.  Name and avatar are all that's needed.  Except in the case of Admins and CM Team, etc.

Yeah me too,
But I fliped to the dark side, got paid for 65,000 words at pro rate last year, made about a weeks pay. Still it was better than writing for nothing (Grin)

HUUUUUUUUUUUGE mistake to reward "status" to # of posts.  The board I worked on for years did away with that, specifically because of the annoying kids looking or "board cred".

would also love the term "grounded" for someone servine a suspension....or "shot down" for someone who was banned.

As impressive as it seems to sound anyone dedicated to creating a half dozen political beech and moan threads a day in the o club could probably reach that level pretty quick. Too bad plutonium actually shrivels the member and makes your balls drop off as your gums and rectum bleed. It only causes hair loss if you had some to begin with. :D

I am sure that is what you platinum membered guys tell yourselves but.. it is of course not true.. they do glow a bit tho.

if they're gonna keep it........shouldn't the various levels be more "flight related"? 

I'm sure they can customize them... from "ramp rat" all the way up to "top gun Instructor"

1-100 posts = "found the board"
101-1000 posts = "lost on the forums"
1001-2500 posts = "impressing others, no really"
2501-5000 posts = "repeating myself way too often"
5001-10,000 posts = "need a life"
10,000 plus = "found I'm bored"

meanwhile.. all I meant was that you should polish up the old platinum.. it won't glow in the dark of course like a real plutonium member but it will have a nice sheen and...  I am sure you will get a lot of pleasure out of it.

Looks like all the PNG'd members have been let back in, I guess HT had no way to still block them after the move, anyone who was PNG'd it now says Parolee.
