I just got a new Acer Aspire 5920. It is a nice laptop but it has Windows Vista on it. I have Windows XP Home Edition. What is the best way to remove Vista and install WinXP?
Thanks

Acer is notorious for driver problems so make sure you have a good backup plan if XP fails to install on that lappy. Outside of that, the best way is to get every possible driver for the laptop to some outside media (cd f.e.) then boot from XP cd, do a full format and install fresh.
I just wish you bought something else than Acer, they've proven to be a nightmare in many cases.

Oh and as a sidenote if your laptop sports a S-ATA harddrive you need a XP install CD with SP2 or your install will fail with no hd found.
XP has supported S-ATA natively only after SP2.
