I have a PC which has been giving me a little issue lately.
I have:
Windows XP Pro
AMD 3500+ (Socket 939)
Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLi
1GB of DDR 3200 RAM
eVGA GeForce 7900GT
Powered USB hub for all USB devices
425W PS from the Aspire X-Cruiser Case.
I have been having this happen to my games and am now fed up with it.

Is my Video Card going? I've changed to lower my GPU Clock and GPU Mem. Core from below the Default settings, but every test fails.

What resolution are you running the game at? Is this an LCD monitor? If so, what is the native resolution of the monitor?
-
I have been running the game via DVI to the LCD. 1280x1024 is the Nat. Res. I've been running AH at 1024x768 to go from 60FPS (in 1280) to 75FPS (in 1024).
-
The aspect ratio between 1024x768 and 1280x1024 is slightly different. You really should be running the game at the native LCD resolution or you are going to be stuck with something having to do conversion as there is no real way for an LCD monitor to change its resolution.
Try 1024x820 if you must run at a lower resolution. Or 960x768. See if that fixes things.
-
Is the problem still there even if you use the native resolution? I had a weird problem once which made my games default to lower resolutions than I set them for. If I recall correctly, uninstalling and reinstalling the nvidia display driver fixed that.

Run your game with the graphics "application controlled"
-
I played last night at 1280x1024 at 512 (textures). Ran good. I'll be upgrading to 2GB of RAM and probably going to the Hi-Res pack then.
Thank you guys. Graphics are now at the "Application controlled".
