After watching countless CV's being sunk by anything and everything,I say bring on the Kamikazes and Baka bombs. This would bring realism to the game, and by making it much harder to sink ships by any other plane or gun,the days of the dive bombing Lancs would be numbered. We could have the traditional Japanese Kamikaze planes, sonderkommando Elbe units, and topped off with Russian rammers. If we gotta put up with ramming, lets legitamize it.We also need to toughen up the fleets,so you can't strafe a DD,and sink it with a 110.As a last thought, all the Kamikaze type planes would be perked,so a player would have to use his hard earned perkies if he wanted to ram something.

How about every time they do it, HTC charges them another $15 on the credit card.
EVERY time they do it.

staka lanks?

We already have kamikazes in AH. AIM-7la Icon Seeking Missiles, Stuka Lancs, Semi-guided Bp-47 Thunderbolts, SpitDweebs...the list is endless. The Judean People's Front Cwack Suicide Squad has nothing on AH...
-
I think CV hardness should be upped because of the Lanstukas & suicide runs. In the AVA it was at 20k lb to sink one last time i was in there, I say at least 10k in the MA would be nice.
-
Thats what I'm trying to curb.Make the people that use gaming methods pay a heavy price to achieve their goals.Moving ships were hard to hit in WWII with level bombing bombers. In AH it's nearly a automatic from 20k.If that isn't good enough, they will dive bomb it.What I'm trying to say is that sinking CV's,ships is far too easy. You can have a nice furball going, and along come the fun police and take out the CV.A kamikaze taking out a ship is far more realistic than a P51 using rockets.

hehehe...
This will all be fixed in CT when it finally comes out. When you die in there.... you start all over with training.
Of course if we get kamakazee it'll be interesting... they were not trined pilots.
-
Shuffler, I believe if you fail a mission you have to keep reflying it before you can move on. I don't believe CT makes you start over evey time. I could be wrong, but that's what I recall from some snippets of previous posts.

Interesting... I heard it is start over. If it is as you say.. then the HO's will be the same as in MA. :(

Heh. This reminds me of Satrapa's introduction to VX-4. Best stick in the squadron was supposed to humble the new guy, but Hoser was never humble, and the best stick in the squad never saw him anywhere but aft.

I believe if you fail enough missions, you will eventually get demoted and sent back to flight school. I'm not worried, I doubt if I'll see CT in mine or any of my future children's life time.
ack-ack

IF it was perked to say 150 then it would be quite fun it would stop swarms of them, and would make a really good mission.

Perking the kamikaze isn't the answer.
Making the ack harder to get through is the answer. That would put an end to the diving lancs, etc, etc. Making the ships harder to kill is another. Currently the fleets are easy to kill. Two runs in a 38 or 47 can do it easy enough. Last night I wasted one near 44, and the next guy to bomb it easily killed the carrier minutes later. Waaay too easy to do.
During the war the ack was pretty good at downing kamikazes, although a lot of the kills were from the fighter cap that intercepted them further away from the fleet.
I, for one, would love to be able to do a kamikaze mission on a fleet with a group of 50 planes. Maybe 15 - 20 would actually get through. I would love to see the baka available, (but moderately perked). With a tougher fleet, it could make for some great battles. It would also eliminate the mostly-one-sided fleet attacks on shore bases and force attackers to use resources to protect their feet in an attack.

I think adding more ships to a CV task group would be a better solution, along with a larger amount of more accurate "puffy" ack, at lower altitude. Yhey would have to get by more AAA at a greater distance from the CV, AND it would keep the CV further offshore.
easy fix

Here! Here!
But up the time to 30 minutes. :aok
