Spitfire Mk Vb W3834, coded YO-Q of No. 401 (Rams) Sqn RCAF, Redhill, 1943. A presentation aircraft, W3834 was the third Spitfire to wear the badge of the Corps of Imperial Frontiersmen. Flown by F/L Thomas Karl "Ibby" Ibbotson from Radisson, Saskatchewan.
Finished in the Day Fighter scheme, aircraft letter repeated on lower nose. Non-standard camouflage pattern, fin flash and serial placement. Sorry, unlike RL, no clipped wingtips on this version :frown:
This one will be going to HTC.

Great looking skin, jocko - as is your desert Spit.
The wear pattern near the wing root looks very well done. That's something I always have trouble getting to look right.

Thanks oboe :)
What you are seeing at the wingroot is about 4 different layers, I try to get a mix of wear like chipping, scratching and worn paint. Once I get the effects looking ok I adjust the opacities of each to get an all round beat up look.
