, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?
"My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed.
Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war,our mission in Iraq is complete.
This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from
Iraq This action will be complete within 30 days.
It is now time to begin the reckoning.
Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names ofcountries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short.
The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there.
The other list contains every one not on the first list. Most of
the world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing
copies of both lists later this evening.
Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to
those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money
saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.
THEN EVERY YEAR THERE AFTER IT'll GO TO OUR SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM SO IT WON'T GO BROKE IN 20 YEARS.
The American people are no longer going to pour money into third
world Hell holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.
Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.
In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this
money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home.
On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we
will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.
Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France or maybe China.
I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with
France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are
retiring from NATO as well. Bonne chance, mezamies.
I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the
many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid
parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and
crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have
tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch
your precious Benzes, Beamers and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York
A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are
likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change.
Mexico is also on List its president and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment.
I will have a couple extra thousand tanks and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put 'em? Yep, border security.
Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty -starting now.
We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we'll be drilling for oil in Alaska-
which will take care of this country's oil needs for decades to come. If you're an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer you to List 2 above: pick a country and move there.
It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism.
I answer them by saying, 'darn tootin.'
Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around
the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America.
It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thank you guys. We owe you and we won't forget.
To the nations on List 2, a final thought: You might want to learn to speak Arabic .
God bless America. Thank you and good night."
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English, thank a soldier. :salute

It would be great to turn on the tv and not hear any political ads
-
Uh why did canada make list 2? They contributed troops, not many but they did. Think the withdrawal of canadian troops had more to do with public opinion after we "mistakenly" dropped bombs on there soldiers. I agree with quite a lot of what you said, then again some of it is just wishing as our power hungry, money grabbing politicians will never do it. Since the majority of politicians are multi millionaires and also invested in the stock market and most major corporations do you really think they will stop useing tax payers money if they can get a personal benefit out of it? NAFTA was a horrible idea and if it had been put to a public vote would never have been enacted! It's way past time to put troops on the border with mexico, should have been done a long time ago. Then there is the little matter of Hugo Chavez, if attacking Iraq was all about oil then if i was him i'd be greatly disturbed about what's going to happen when we are done over there. Just my 2 cents worth.

nope, dead wrong.
you wouldn't last 5 years, using ALL your own oil.
-
Was just a fun read, I did not write it,was sent to me by a friend. :salute
-
Dude... then he could do this.. :rock
it would be so gnarly!
:aok
-

Don't we have one of the worlds largest oil deposits in the Gulf of Mexico? Doesn't Ok/Tx region still have a bunch of oil?
Alaska isn't our ONLY resource for oil.

Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to
those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money
saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.
The US foreign aid budget is about $15 billion a year. The Iraq war has so far cost about $510 billion. It will take 34 years to pay back the cost of the war using the current federal aid budget, assuming the war finished immediately.
THEN EVERY YEAR THERE AFTER IT'll GO TO OUR SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM SO IT WON'T GO BROKE IN 20 YEARS.
If US social security could be fixed with a tiny sum like $15 billion, it wouldn't be a real problem.
We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we'll be drilling for oil in Alaska-
which will take care of this country's oil needs for decades to come.
The US geological survey says there is a maximum of 13 billion barrels in the Alaskan reserve, not all of it recoverable. Assuming all the oil was recoverable, and that it could be extracted as fast as needed, that would meet current US imports for just over 900 days, after which it would be gone, and the US would be back to importing 14 million barrels of oil a day.
In practice, of course, the reserves couldn't be depleted that fast, and they would provide a tiny fraction of US imports for a longer time.
-
You might want to rethink Canada for another reason. We get over 60% of our oil from there, eh.
-
I think it would be great when I turn on the television and hear, "As of today the American Dollar has been reverted to the amount of gold stored in our Treasury. Not one more dollar will be printed until there is gold to support it in our treasury."

While that would be stable, there is an economic benefit to having a fiat currency.
-
Understandable, however with the rising value of Gold, uchi-mama!

Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty -starting now.
lost manufacturing jobs -- 180,000 in Ontario and 140,000 in Quebec since 2002 -- won't be coming back. In fact, the TD Bank study estimates that Canada's two most industrialized provinces could lose a further 350,000 manufacturing jobs over the coming half-decade -- 250,000 in Ontario and 100,000 in Quebec
You think we are not hit by NAFTA? Here in Windsor unemployement rate is 10% ,higher than across the river in Michigan, almost double than rest of Canada: our manufacturing jobs are shiped to Mexico and China also, . 30 milion canadians don't compete for jobs like 150 milion mexicans living on 3rd world budget and working 4-5 times cheaper,
The US trade deficit with Canada, comes mostly from oil imports, not from imported goods(like China)that could be made in US and create jobs:
How can the economy go well and create jobs if you just buy stuff made ouside ?
I've been shopping in WalMart Supercenter last week, and the only stuff made in USA i noticed was some cheese made in Wisconsin

Wouldn't it be nice if someone would refrain from reposting this exact same thing every 90 days? Am I going to have bad luck or not fall in love if I don't repost this stupidity?

Therein lies your problem. Stop shopping at Walmart. Support American. It's been estimated that Walmart is the single largest contributor of the American trade deficit with China, possibly up to half of said deficit originates from said retailer. You must realize your money is going to some factory owner in China.
I haven't been inside a Walmart in 7 years. It's as close to anti American in it's business dealings as you can get. (Although it may be the penultimate example of where capitalism will head in the future) Walmart doesn't let the market set its' suppliers prices... Walmart tells its' suppliers what it will be paying.
Meanwhile you wonder why your kid's toys have lead in the paint.

The trade deficit will eventually destroy the United States. We cannot sustain so much wealth leaving our country.
The last year we had a positive trade balance was 1975. By 1997, the trade deficit had grown to $110 Billion. At that time, many economists said such a huge imbalance was not sustainable, and would eventually wreck our country.
Well guess what? Just 10 years later ( the last 7 of which were under the Bush Administration ), the US trade deficit for 2007 ended up being $820 Billion!! That is a 745% increase!!!

I think I remember first seeing this not too long after 9/11 in fact.
The Canadians' had actually made up quite a bit of the troop strength in Afghanistan for quite a while...I don't believe that subject was broached in the trailer park that spawned this peice of toejam.
The way things' are today, the U.S. is gonna need it's allies' close to get by. It'd be nice if insulting crap like this was deleted.

While not totally correct... this piece does have alot of things that are correct. The US should hold it's allies close. Those that are allies in word only need to be on list 2. Those on list 2 should receive no handouts from the US either, for anything. We need to take care of home first.

That would work Shuffler if we still lived in the kind of world we lived in post-Glasnost, right around the time of the first Gulf war. The U.S. was the Big kid on the block, China was not as a big an economic/military threat that they are now, and our main opposition of the time, The Soviet Union, was begging to do anything we could to help them, and they weren't either able to, or willing, to oppose anything we did in the middle east or anywhere else.
Today, however, is a different story. Our economy is not what it was even 10 years' ago. China seized the oppurtunity to become a superpower, not just in the military sense that the old USSR did, but economically, as well. As a matter of fact, it can be said that they are actively combatting us now, by drawing off our manufacturing industries' out of our borders, and also gaining ground in other areas' such as relations' with oil-producing nations. Russia is starting a resurgence, which they will probably realize in 10 years' time, to a position of world power. Due to our handling of the entire situation in the middle east, we've alienated some of our allies that have helped us in the past, which we used to count on for support. We have friends' like the UK, however their attitude could change with a non-friendly P.M. or Parliament. We as Americans' should start acting more likeable to the rest of the world, lest we find ourselves' boxed in, staring out.
-
I think it would be unrealistic.
Personally, I'd settle for a day of not hearing people spouting the same pride-swelling propaganda as if it's their own, trying to get reactions that they know they'll get, from a crowd that's as fond of political bumper-stickers as I am of Salmon Sushi.
