Title: How the wheel turns
Post by: soupcan on March 13, 2008, 03:33:33 AM
Imagine my surprise to find a Platinum member "furball or death,
who cares if the base changes color, toolshedders suck" ect.
in town with his M8 blowing up "sheds".
His M3 friend didn't make it and neither did he but i digress.

Seems to me that apparently even die hard furball only types
occasionally play a little capture the flag too.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Maybe he was bored due to the lack of any real fights.  I've found myself hopping in one from time to time if there aren't any decent fights and I'm bored.

So an attempted base capture does provide some
level of enjoyment after all.

I don't try and capture bases, I just like to drive around in a jeep or M8 and see how far I can jump one or do donuts.  When I'm bored, the slightest thing amuses me I guess.

Yes!!!! My 8 and 6 year old daughter likes to drive a tank once in a while.  I guess that makes me a GVer too  :rofl

The sad part, she has taken out a couple of the gv aces a couple of times, lol

Ever think it is possible a person's "status" on the forum in no way relates to their tenure in game, or their playing style?

Forum "status" is only based on number of posts, not quality, not game related, just number of posts.

when i'm bored due to lack of fights, i up lancs and go pop enemy radars......it's kinda silly, but very fun......

if i go on the ground, i find a nice tank battle, and hide in the woods just on the perimeter, and pick off enemies as they come by, till one figures out where i'm hiding and kills me.   does that make me a cherry picker on the ground? :rofl

3 AR-234 pilots make radar popping kinda fun. Thats 9 radars and if its a small front you can pork 2-3 deep sometimes.

What does being a platinum member (a BBS post count based title) have to do with one's actions in the MA?

Sure if he says "I don't do that" you've got all the right to call him out, but that's based on the content of his previous posts, not the quantity of them.

Well of course my original post was based on the content of his posts
and being a platinum member he's got plenty of 'em.

Yep.. Every now and then I'll go blow poop up on the ground.. Eventualy though, it always leads to a good fight.  The capture is just an excuse for a good fight, not the other way around.

Virtual real estate means nothing.
