I can't stand Nickelback or Buck Cherry either. Haven't heard the Gwen song.
for me, ad:
1. Creed
2. Rob Zombie ( is that considered a band?)
-
Any solo artist is eligible.
-
Buck Cherry was cool in like, 1996.

I enjoy Zombie, but I am TOTALLY with you on Creed and their "copycat minions" who have followed them.
-
I havent heard much of Rob Zombie, but I did like White Zombie.
-
Eagle-Eye Cherry
-
Ah man, this has forced me to re-live some of the most horrible musical memories:
Hootie and The Blowfish
Richard Marx
Air Supply
Great White
Janet Jackson
The 80's version of Heart
Men Without Hats
Oingo Boingo (sp?)
Whoever sang "Red Red Whine"
-
Linkin Park
It's not that I hate their music, it's just that I can't stand listening to their music over and over again on every single video on YouTube. It could be a video of Barney the Dinosaur and someone would add "Breaking the Habit" to it and post it on YouTube!
-
Hootie, and UB40 are great :furious
I would still hit Janet, but more so back in the "Control" days.
-
Pretty much every band on the radio/TV since about the mid 90's. The music industry has become way too formulaic. I hope the widespread use of the internet crushes it, while up and coming bands use it to their advantage. Radiohead's recent move is pretty interesting.
Most of what people call "bands" these days don't play instruments, don't write music and can't even sing for that matter. I've been working backwards through the years to come up with stuff to listen to.
My personal list would be topped off by NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears.
I know some interesting stories about Hootie...but can't say I like them. Went to the same school as me, just a few years ahead. Hearing them reminds me of fratbois driving around in pickup trucks playing "Hold My Hand" way to loud like it was something to be proud of.
-
Every single Rap band.
-

Oingo Boingo (sp?)
The cat from Oingo Boing scores half the movies made in Hollywood......and his daughter is a famous comedic actress.

Worst band Ever...
Mashmakhan
"As The Years Go By"
circa 1971
A child asks his mother do you love me
And it really means will you protect me
His mother answers him I love you
And it really means
You've been a good boy
And as the years go by
True love will never die
At seventeen a girl says do you love me
And it really means will you respect me
The teenage boy answers I love you
And it really means
Can I make love to you
And as the years go by
True love will never die
I will love you forever
I will love you forever
At sixty five his wife says
Do you love me
And it means I'd like to hear it again
Her husband says to her I love you
But it really means I love you till the end
And as the years go by
True love will never die
Now you're asking me if I love you
And it really means will I marry you
And I answer yes I love you
But it really means that I won't be untrue
And as the years go by
True love will never die
I will love you forever
I will love you forever

Rascal Flats
Miley Cyrus and her daddy Billy Ray
Gansta Rappers
It's not quite like it used to be. So many have left their band because the manager said they would go nowhere if they didn't. They sing what they're told for fame and fortune. Seems like one has to be around for a while to do what they want in the music business. There needs to be more artists like Aerosmith, Toby Kieth, Dylan and the likes.
-
Van Halen with Wolfgang on bass. Makes me sick.

I happen to like the first two.
One thing I like about Mylee/hanna is that she's not britney spears....YET.....the reason I say that is that I have an 8 year old daughter that adores her. Hopfully she had some good upbringing and doesn't turn into a hollywood coke potato before she loses the star status that she has with my daughter. I can't say that I listen to her music but I could stomach one of her concerts if it ment putting a smile on my daughters face. That's a rarety in the music biz today.
Personally I can't stand...and many of you will disagree....Red Hot CHille pepers. I didn't like them in the 90s and I hear the same tired crap now. DOn't know why I just can't stand them or their music.

I agree about Mylee as a good kid. Hope she stays that way too. My daughter also loves her. I am tired of that song on the radio lately.

I think that's the radios job, to make you tired of certain music inbetween commercials!

Worst I ever saw live was Quicksilver Messenger Service, but the Tubes were a close second.

MT, QMS were all into acid, heavily- the only way to enjoy them is to drop acid before the concert. I'll bet you didn't do that, so as far as I'm concerned you have only yourself to blame for having a bad time.

You're right of course. I was shrooming, completely the wrong drug for QMS, I should have gone to see King Crimson instead.
-
Gangsta Rap has been covered so I'll go with anything 'Emo'.
Emo kids are the new Goths.... just gayer.

mrblack is well trained in the arts of mind warfare, he will not succumb so easily, my friend.
And on to round two:
1. Petshop Boys
2. Robbie Williams ( I really can't stand this guy)
3. Franky Goes to Hollwood
4. Celine Deon
5. ALL rap ( was said, but can't really be repeated enough)
6. Asia
7. all of the versions of Jefferson Airplane/Starship
8. I need help with this one. She plays piano and all of her songs are slow and boring. She has red hair and really sucks. She had a couple hits in the early 90's. Any help? I know that's not a lot of info. :)
9. That guy that sings "walking in Memphis"
10. Goo Goo Dolls
11. Glen Frey
12. Clarence Trent D'arby. What's great about him was that he announced that he was going to be bigger than the Beatles, then released "Crocodile Tears" LOL
That's all for now, my hate has subsided.
