Title: ATTN MI, OH, IL and IN players
Post by: Masherbrum on March 14, 2008, 03:38:54 PM: I am in the middle of organizing a Meet n Greet at the Kalamazoo Airzoo on April 21st.

So far with whom I have had contact with in the LWA's and are coming:

Dedalos
LyeEl
Dace
5.0 and MsBhaven
shubie
myself

Possibly Stang, he wont know until it gets closer to the date.

Dedalos, Dace and myself will be bringing our kid(s) as well. So this will be a family type event. But, at the same time, a chance to chat and laugh.

If enough people can attend, I'll see if they can do something further to accommodate us.

If you all show and meet say in the parking lot then go in as a group it might save ya a couple bucks. Most of my mothers family live in wisconsin and we used to stop there every couple years and do the tour before our family reunions. Best time i ever had going there was while on leave from the marines, went in my dress blues and was treated like a king. :aok

Would ANYONE be cool with this happening on the 26th instead? I figure one week farther, is better than one week closer.

I sincerely apologize for this. I've talked to my brother and he would attend with his daughter. If we get 20 folks, we can get 15% off of the admission.

Again, will the 26th make or break anyone so I can attend?

26th. Sorry, I've spoken to a couple more folks and this date works for them as well.

Unfortunately because of college I only clear about $200 a month because I can only work limited hours :cry

Plus I just started going out with a woman about a month ago and she doesnt know about AH, my deep burning hatred for sausage pizza, etc. But she would like to get out for a little trip so I dont think I would get any objections from her.

Plus I just got back my tax refund today :D

OMG fly a real plane :noid

SheGotYa <--- scared to fly lol ironic I know .. but, I am mostly a ground pounder anyway!! Used to fly all the time. Had a bad flight to Vegas one year got smashed on the flight back (which was great I heard) and have not flown since. I drove to Vegas after that .. ugh!! Three days of nothing. A four hour flight is sooo much better but, I have not had the courage yet. I can imagine your excitement.

What a blast,got to actually walk into a c-47..got too see some p-40's,and some f4u models,all I believe,are flyable..They also have a norton-bomb site..

You guys will have a blast,and the flight sim was pretty cool.moves in all degrees,would love to have it hooked up to my AH system.. :lol

I'll be there around 8am and hang out watching (assisting if allowed) the Cub Scouts lighting off rockets.

To those attending; I promise you'll be glad you did and I know karayaone88 would concur.

Also, a dinner at a local place near there. We'll hit karayaone88 up for info Sat.

Great..........Every time I get a whole weekend off the weather goes sour. :cry

As everybody won't have red or green cons and the primary rally point of the rocket launch has the possibility to get scrubbed due to weather, how do we ID our wingies? AH group here sign? Look for people wearing flight jackets and wearing cool sunglasses?

9am is when the AirZoo opens.

Tim (Karayaone88) I wish to SINCERELY Thank You for the "Behind the Scenes" type Tour you provided us. The Restoration Hangar was an awesome surprise for ALL. I will email pics of the "stuff we talked about" soon. But again, Thank you.

I had NO IDEA 4XTCH would be attending and I was truly shocked and glad he attended. Everyone enjoyed the free HTC swag, which was yet another surprise I kept from the attendees. Choker41 PM me your Shirt sizes (for Stroker1) and I'll mail you some stuff, since we missed you.

I hope some friendships have been cemented in the wake of this. Now, I need to go to Chicago and return the gesture.
