Title: Conversation quality since the upgrade
Post by: Chairboy on March 14, 2008, 06:57:00 PM
The quality of conversation here seems (in my opinion) to have taken a real nosedive since the BBS software upgrade.  I don't mean to suggest that the software did it, but something happened in that 24 hours that seems to have really taken a big bite out of the O'Club.

The 'Slave reparations' thread is a good example of this, I originally wrote the above there before taking it here.

Am I the only one that feels this way?  Or does anyone else get the same impression that we're somehow missing a bunch of people or something, and that the community seems weaker for some reason ever since the blackout?

Yeah man...I agree with ya 100%. I can't quite put my finger on it, but yeah, it's just not the same.

I have a theory:

Maybe during that 24 hours when the BBS was down, a lot of people couldn't handle it and cracked. They started buying bb guns, diapers, stun guns and rope and started driving non-stop to Texas looking for Skuzzy.

That's just a guess though, really.

or its not that people are missing, but that certain people are not.

I feel the same way but it's been like this before.  Seems to go in cycles.
