Great movie, watched it a bunch of times, watching it again...

Anyone notice the woman scientist bears a striking resemblance to Kathy Bates of modern cinema? The attitude, poise, so many things, if they ever did a remake, she'd be the one to play the part.

I'd vote for Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Connoly, Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johanssenn, Jessica Beil, or Jessica Alba before Kathy Bates.

The most convincing scientist I've ever seen in film was Denise Richards, who played Dr. Christmas Jones, a Nuclear Scientist in Die Another Day.

The Andromeda Strain is a great flick. Scared the **** outa me when I was a kid. It kinda loses something with the advancement in technology, but it would be a great remake.

Michael Crichton is a great writer and Robert Wise was at the top of his game.

I've always loved this film, I actually rewatched it recently on DVD.  I love those style of films from the 60s/70s :)

Never cared for it.  Too convenient at the end.

"Oh, it's mutated and no longer dangerous."

Pfft.

Let the dang nuke go off.  THERE would have been an ending.

Same here Maverick.  I've read this along with most other Michael Crichton books.  This is a great one, the rest are very well done as well.

Getting started on Dean Koontz and Robin Cook now...

there have been a few Crichton books I regret were made after Jurassic.... Congo could have been a great movie if done right, but something tells me it can't be ever.

Sphere, well what can I say. the cast with the exception on Sharon Stone was quite good, but so many plot elements were left out, and it was just butchered by whoever did the screenplay.
