Knew him personally. He worked at my grandmothers nursing home as waiter. He also worked as a substitute teacher for the Middle Country Central School District. He had been a sub for my classes many times. He will be greatly missed by the community.

03/15/08) KINGS PARK - Police are investigating after a body was pulled from a vehicle submerged in the Nissequogue River in Kings Park Saturday.
Residents say a barge operator spotted headlights in the water and called police. A dive team responded with police and the barge helped pull the Volkswagen out of the river. Police discovered the body of 25-year-old Ryan Colvin, of Centereach, in the vehicle.
Police gathered evidence to figure out how Colvin’s car wound up in the water. They don’t know if it was an accident or suicide.
Meanwhile, some residents say signs should be posted to make the dead end road safer.

Sorry for your loss but...

I googled his name and there is a thread on VWVortex as well.
Is news12 the only news source in your area?

Didn't think you were, I just thought you might have missed the intent is all. I took it as a personal loss rather than a community loss ala loss of a respected aviation figure.
