Title: the allies stink
Post by: spit16nooby on March 16, 2008, 07:05:37 PM
okay ive only played ava for a week or so but ive noticed that the allies are absolutely horrible with almost no coordination no one has the power to control everybody for an example i had the great idea of an anzio landing on the italian coast i had moved a carrier close to the coast(not to mention that i moved all of our other carriers so that they werent meandering around in the ocean) in the meanwhile i had devised a plan to put a bit of our team on a spoiler attack with the rest of us defending my point of all of this make me the supreme commander of the allies muhahaha no im just kidding :rofl my real idea is that we get as many allies to vote on 3 or so supreme commanders to command them my personal reccomendation odee but if everyone puts up a vote i will count them and we can decide on a commander so we can be more organized and able to beat the axis

Hmmmm .... *scratches noggin* .... so who's taken to posting from a shades account in hopes that it'll keep them from getting beach-slapped/pnged by the Skuz? I mean, c'mon. It wasn't offensive enough to warrant that. And even if you thought it was, the Skuz woulda locked the whole forum down long before now with all the childishness and pizzy whining from both the "winners" and "losers" having apparently gone unchecked entirely after my three year hiatus (psssst ... that's always something to keep in mind, anyway, though - and with the forum might go the AvA sandbox - shade posting or not). Coulda been more creative, I suppose. I wouldn't put too much pressure on the poster to be funny as well ... but ....

:D :aok   :huh

What is it with you and Arlo?

I am not, repeat NOT the Allied CO.  Nor do I have any intention of seeking that thankless job.

In fact, I was so sick of the Allies tonight that I went Axis :O  Yeah, imagine that?  Helped defend V90 too.  Even managed to land a couple kills after dying several times.  On top of that, I am now persona non grata to a certain squad on Allies.

Go figure eh?

"I'll talk to you later when things cool a bit" means just that. You're a fun and funny guy when you're not letting certain things get to you. I'm just beginning to wonder if that's the exception instead of the rule. Please ... make it the rule. Thank you.

<S>

And I still laugh about the ribbon. Thanks.

Everyone will assure you that it is the rule.  I'm a wild ape in the sheep pen.  Well I guess I gotta go and start behaving like everybody says.

Going ga-ga-ape-poo to the Axis FTW!

Good luck Allies.

Hey I had a great idea so I moved a carrier group in range of the Axis even though no one followed me.  Oops, maybe because they don't know who I am??  Great Idea.
I love playing in the AvA because it's helping me learn the game faster and of course my squad plays there.
In a nutshell it's basically been a 1 sided romp with a few well coordinated squads on the Axis side who know every secret and option in the game against a few relatively young and learning squads on the Allied side. We shake our heads and wonder how vehicles spawn from destroyed buildings, troops get shot up when everything is down only to find that oh yeah, there's a way to do that. One other thing is that most of the Allied side want to fly and aren't interested in the GV side, which is key to winning in AvA. Might be because it's called FLYaceshigh.com. Nahhhh.  On top of it the people that do try in the Allied side wind up ridiculed in the forums.
People try to treat the AvA like the FSO. You can't because a group can show up at any time and fight against little to no opponents in the AvA. In FSO it's only open for a short time.  Maybe do that with AvA???  Say from 7 till 10 each night or whatever.
I don't mind getting my bellybutton shot off for the last couple of months because the lessons are starting to pay off and I'm starting to shoot some off myself. But don't expect the AvA to last much longer if things remain the same.  Hats off to those that have organized it and put up with the bull.
edit: Now we see at least one if not more people jumping sides to be on the winning side. That should help things.
Rant done carry on  :D

Shifty, if you have a problem with me personally, feel free to PM or email me anytime and we'll see about ironing it out.  You don't personally know me, or very much about me, yet you seem to hold a grudge about something.

MugZ summed it up perfectly in a pm to me in game.  "Too many Allies take the AvA too seriously."  A lot of Axis do too.

I'm just not going to take the AvA so serious anymore.  If somebody has a plan, then take it to TAC and get it going.  If not, then stay on country and furball.

It's your dime after all.  Might as well have fun with it.

Thanks.  It was a refreshing eye opener for me, of things I suspected and heard about how Axis deal in a fight.
