Title: Names for the Number Guys

I've notice here lately that there has been an increase in the number guys.  I asked on 200 if the other countries where dealing with the same situation as the Bish.  In a way I feel bad, its rather difficult to give a guy a check 6 when his/her name is 348458.  So I figured perhaps the community could help the lil guys out.

My first choice: IHOALOT

I was never a numbers dude, but I was certainly as dweeby (may still be).  Sure most will squeak for 2 weeks and move on, but some will get hooked and become regulars and good additions to the game.  We were all noobs at some point.  HTC needs to make $ to keep this thing going and fresh faces are always needed as others drop out or take up basket weaving as a hobby.  Bring them on.

I just called them whatever name came to mind.  Usually it was some female name, Patty, Suzy, Wendy...

I just yell out, "Hey numbers guy" or don't say anything at all. Was the question ever answered that, when you first enter
the arenas and it asks for a game ID. If you leave that blank does it just issue you a number? I find it hard to believe that
with the amount of number guys that they get confused on loginID, or PW and then use that as a game ID.

Not to try to breath life into a dying thread, but here's a slightly off-topic thought....
When I first signed up for AH in the Fall of '04 (I think), I had no idea that 'numbers' weren't the ideal screen name to use.  I chose 5411 (my house number).  It didn't take too long to realize that an alpha name would be better, so changed it.  My point is, during the initial sign-up, I think it might be beneficial for HTC to display a note on the sign-up page suggesting that screen names be pronouncable alpha characters, as opposed to a string of numbers.  Just a thought....

Number guys are fine with me. All you have to do is say the first two numbers of their name to give them a 'check 6' call. I think it's easier to do than to try and figure out how to pronounce some of the names on this game.

FYI Mariah Carey used to be a pretty good arm wrestler back in the day. She used to be unstoppable. I guess a strong arm goes along with a strong voice. Mariah Carey you inspire us and I hope you continue inspiring us for year to come.
