Apparently he's not seeing any prostitutes so he's the new governor. :rock
-
I would say he is over qualified

Well, being blind certainly qualifies him as a politician. :D

Just glad to be rid of Spitzer. Didn't vote for him, didn't approve of any of his appointees, and didn't agree with any of his pet projects. Good riddance, and too bad he didn't take more down with him.
I might even do a happy dance when I see his name taken off the sign in front of the facility when I go in tonight. :rock

First we find out about Plutonium members, and now RipSnort's a Radioactive member! Oooh, glowy glowy! :lol
-
I liked his reply to a reporter's question "have you ever frequented a prostitute?"
His retort "Only the lobbyists"
Serious - this did happen!
I know its wrong and probably arrogant is some sense, but I have an admiration for blind people who succeed. I just don't know how I could get by as they do.

At least he's airing his own dirty laundry.... he gave up that he had an affair.. stole the media's thunder with that I bet. Doesn't anyone have any integrity in NY politics?

LOL and now it seems his wife not only knew about it.
but joined in as well
"In an e-mail to The Associated Press Monday, McGreevey confirmed published reports by former campaign aide Teddy Pedersen. Pedersen said he had consensual sex with the couple for about two years before McGreevey became governor."

Apparently he had more than one affair, and his wife also admits to cheating on him during that time period as well.
I guess that this is now the new norm for married couples in America???

"integrity in NY politics"
Kudos Steve for managing to put these words together in a cogent sentence and not get struck by lightening.

I thought Gov. Paterson's speech before the NY assembly was very well done.

I saw something like 30-50% married people in America have an affair at some point. When you figure that your typical politician is sleazier than your average person, it's not too surprising.

WOW! I guess i'm in that statistic...I once got both my lovers drunk in the same night...I switched my drink from one hand to the other!

I'll try and find it but I remember seeing a report that showed those numbers to be much higher.
something like 70% for men and 60% for women. With women climbing fast. Up from 45%
Those probably arent the exact numbers but are damn close from what I remember

Gotta give him some cu dos though for coming out and being forthright about it rather then the typical deny deny deny till you have no other option that politicians normally do.
