can we pleeeeeeeeeeese have a sonic boom when we reach supersonic speeds?

Above 40-50k the atmosphere doesn't work right (a flaw in the model) and do you really think you could fly a WW2 design up into the outer edges of space itself (70-90k) as is done when making these "mach 1 breaking" attempts in-game?

No WW2 design could break the speed of sound, and any that do in this game is just a flaw in the game itself, and usually under gamey conditions or offline screwing with the wind.

So, no. No sonic boom, because none of these planes can go supersonic.

The F-86 could only break the sound barrier in a dive and it was not recomended for pilots to attempt the manuver as the plane did become unstable at those speeds. Also the Bell X-1 was the FIRST aircraft to break the sound barrier in level flight and did so almost a year before an F-86 managed to do so in a power dive, so NO the F-86 was not the first supersonic aircraft.

Also unless we get a Korean War server we will NEVER see the F-86 in this game. It didn't go into service untill well after WWII was over.

Probably wouldn't be too difficult to code either.
