I've recently aquired new CH USB equipment so the old analog stuff is on the shelf.
I have to complain about the default maps though. Whomever submitted these was definately fixated on adjusting head positions.
I see no need to hog up hat switches on joystick and/or throttle to adjust these. You set them and then forget them. If you need to readjust them then use the keyboard. Some commands, like moving head positions should be left on the keyboard, at least IMO.

Which is why all my CH buttons have always been mapped in AH instead of CH control manager. I migrated from analog to USB CH equipment (except the rudder pedals-use a gameport-USB adapter), and all my buttons on my throttle and fighterstick worked perfectly.
All the Best...

I use CH control manager but made a map in there.

Not a CM vs. AH map situation, I want through AH for mine but the default map AH gives is less than stellar IMO.
Again, I see no need for head movement controls, arrows and page Up and DOWN, on a hat switch. I changed all mine soon as I saw that and never bothered with CM.

I gotta agree. The view buttons are all over the stick.I just saved mine after doing them and can import them on a new install. The CH manager?I dont use it anymore.

The left and right arrows are great for checking six or peering around the cowling, and the page up and page down are useful for getting a good look at the part of the cockpit and dash that is below the screen (or hidden by some controls as in the new La-7 cockpit). I mapped them to a hatswitch on my X52 throttle for convenience, and now I can't live without them.
