Title: New fleet
Post by: Krusty on March 19, 2008, 03:33:00 PM
New fleet, new guns, more guns, new models.

We (the players) are the bug testors. I'd suggest heavily testing (online and off) the fleet's ability to be attacked. This could change things in a major way for the upcoming frames. Settings that worked in frame 1 may be too strong in frame 2, or too weak.

Well the AA is still down at .3 .. so the addition of new guns I don't think will have a major impact. Well unless B25Cs decide to scrafe ships again.

As for the hardness of the ships .. oh, definitely need to test that tonight to make sure it is still 8000 lbs for the CV and 2000 lbs for all the other ships. If not have to adjust the hardness level for them to bring them back in line.

And then there's the bugs where bombs pass through the ship, or it somehow got panzer armor properties  :O :D

I'm flashing back to AH2's debut, where hit detection bubbles were gone for some craft. You could fly into the center of a lancaster without colliding. It was fixed, but HTC makes some major oversights at times. This is a big update, lots to overlook.

I'm stuck at work unable to go home and DL the patch, cursing those that can  :devil

Well fingers crossed that they will have it all worked out by Friday.

I am sure the MA will show very quickly a lot of bugs.

Tested the ships and they do register bomb hits and the CV still takes 8000 lbs of bombs and the CAs and DDs take 2000 lbs bombs to put them down.

We are good to go for the event.

And yes, it is a good thing players can't man guns. Each DD now has 2 single 5 inch guns that are manneable.
