Where's the CV
-
So, how's the fishin??
I hope you and yours are doing OK. Was that far from your place?
-
The bottom ones are 15 miles from here from a creek that way overtopped its banks and also the Kaskaskia river that has flooded. That creek also runs a mile from here but we are on a lot higher ground so it wont flood here.

Hope your not one of the nuts that builds his house next to a river then gets upset when it floods. LOL
Nature ALWAYS wins.

Luckily here all thats under water is crops and farmground, no houses yet under and no rescues in the immediate area, at least people here are smart for once.
And for Ripsnort - :rofl :aok

Rip :D Nice pic.
But you have big mountains to hold all of that water in! We just have hills. :uhoh
The Meramec is just a mid size Ozark stream. In spots below the bridge it is only 20-30 ft across, and about 2-6 ft. deep.
Meatwad you need more hills. :aok

They look close enough like ducks, so they are ducks to me.

Those aren't ducks.
Coot, if I'm not mistaken. I use the term "Waterfowl" when I'm not sure. ;)

They are not a duck, but look like one. :D They don't really fly, more like run across the water flapping their wings.
Rip you ever hear the term " old coot "? What am I saying...of course you have! :devil :t

Rip's right, it's a coot (related to the moorehen). They don't have webbed feet. You almost got a picture of one flying, which would have actually been a very rare photo, but alas the "quack" ruined it. Bad bird identifier. Bad bad bad.

There was some that flew in a way, but that was from a bank and went 20 feet or so into the water. There was some mallards out there too but I didnt see one good enough for a picture. (Not to mention that I had to go back to work instead of taking pictures off the clock all day)
