Title: Pilot Wound?
Post by: MicFarlow77 on March 22, 2008, 07:51:18 AM
Hi All,

I would like ot know if it is possible to turn off the "Pilot Wound" effects off for younger players. I have an 8 year old nephew who wants to do the offline missions and I would like to be able to turn that effect off if possible.

Many Thanks,

Mick

Give him a few weeks and he will more than likely be giving the pilot wounds  :aok

Say it is tomato juice the pilot spilled.

I don't think it is possible to turn it off.  I can understand you not wanting a young child to see that.  It would be nice if you could "upgrade" the pilot wound to a kill, so that your son could play and other players would not be penalized to keep him from being upset.

But I agree with someone else who said: Give him a couple of weeks and he'll be dishing out more than he receives.

It is a game based on war, and in war people get hurt and killed.  At eight years old, he might be mature enough to start to understand that.

Well, it could be a less graphic pilot wound then I guess. less blood or make it oil instead.

By the time I was 8 I'd already had a concussion and 2 episodes requiring stitches.....all of which involved so much blood that it didnt seem like a big thing. Of course, kids rarely go outside nowadays

Thanks all for the very kind responses.

My Son is also 8 and plays this game daily, and we have no problems with the pilot wound for him, but I at least wanted to ask to respect the wishes of my sister-in-law.

Again, Many Thanks!

Mick

Don't want him to see it then don't let him play, simple answer.

Make it oil instead?  Just tell your nephew the pilot got a big boo boo.
