early on the forum had a users list, it was helpful, another thing was the OLD forum you could search for posts by a user, without a key word. here you can't just look for posts by user XXX
I was looking to PM an older member that doesn't post much but lurks some, but I can find the user.
any chance of allowing user search Skuzzy?

You can.
Just click on my user name above my avatar, then click on "Show the last posts of this person" (bottom of the page, under "Additional Information")

ok, find Teufl for me and send him a PM.
he posts rarely, and usually in 300 post threads. I just talked to him in-game, and yet I can't find a recent post by him unless I scroll through 2 giant threads.
in the past I could just search user "xxx" and find most recent posts, then viola, PM available. find easily the last post by HiTech, Pyro, Natedog, or any other casual poster on the forum that reads a lot but posts rarely.

You want to send him a PM? Why don't you just click "new message" and put his name in the appropriate field? There is even a "find members" option there...
No need at all to find a previous post or profile to PM someone.

Specifically, no. The reason to not allow a user list via a URL is to help prevent spammers from using PM's to send thier garbage to users.

ahh, oh well <S> thanks for the answer.
