Title: 100th Bomb Group (H) Bloody Hundredth Recruiting
Post by: 100Stryk on March 23, 2008, 02:45:15 PM
OUR SQUADRON:

Our squadron is dedicated to all of the 100th BG (H) Bloody Hudnredth, B-17 Flying Fortress pilots who did the "dirty work" flying over the heart of Germany and destroying the factories, and munitions, with parralell percision. They accounted nearly 1400 lossess out of 3000 or more, but the majority of them hit their targets.

IN-GAME

We currently have eight dedicated members (as the squad was formed 2 weeks ago) and we fly the B-17, and only the B-17. We use real formations, and bombing tactics (such as path-finder, dropping on leaders command). I'm thinking about enrolling my squad into Allies and Axis, however, they need to be trained on how to use the old AH1 traditional bombsite, which I have finnaly figured out myself.

THE TRAINING

Every recruit WILL receive training wheather he's novice or pro (lesson's will varry on player's experience), and will learn basic formations, and the bombscope itself. When they have mastered that, they will learn the E6B, and its calculations, and advanced formations. Again, we don't care how old you are (even though most of the squad are adults) we just ask you to take this seriously. Now don't get me wrong its all about having fun and we have a lot of that throughout the squad (Talk to 100Dino :O), but we fly training missions in order to keep the morale high, and our skills in top-shape. This will be done on saturday 4:00pm EASTERN, which is our annual training session. It's only to last for 1 hour but most of like to go on numerous runs after the training session.

BOMBING ALTITUDE &  "LITTLE FRIENDS" (ESCORTS)

Our bombing altitude consists of anywhere from 10,000ft-30,000ft depending on the target. Our escort squadron is the 4thFG =Debden Boys=, and the LCA Renagades fly with us, and now they are our ally <S> 96Delta "It's great to be a help to you sir!"

COMMUNICATION/TEAMSPEAK

Although a lot of squads use teamspeak, we do not and we're just fine with the standard "T" transmitting. Our VOX is 282

SQUAD MEETS/ TIMES

Our squadron meetings/nights will take place on Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 9:00pm EASTERN. Our manditory training sessions take place on Saturday at 4:00pm EASTERN.

THINKING ABOUT JOINING?

We're looking for serious bomber pilots who are mature, and can fly under a somewhat dictatorship enviorment. As I said, we only fly the B-17 although most people will think this is silly and boring, we're learning to master that plane, and knowing all of its capibilites. Because a matter of fact, it is the overal best bomber in the game (in my opinion) Precision: can hit targets at 30,000ft using 6-8 sec. calibrations.
If your interested into joining please reply to this forum, PM me, or just email me at rj@burnup.net (My appoligies I currently do not have a website running at the moment)

Thats correct, go ahead and PM me your email adress, then we can set a date for your training. Keep in mind I've got someone else BroncoSquid, that I'll be training as well. Might have to fit you both in on the same date depending on your schedules.

:lol whats funny VF-17, and LCA CO's is that this poor man is so self-centered with himself that he countinues to insult the person he said he's done with. Notice how he signs his 2nd "msg of critisism" as: I'm done here well gentlemen I guess he's not..

Bombrich get off my Recuritment form if you are that insecure about yourself and you must INSULT me to everyone then thats your little fantasy. You act like a little kid trying to stir up drama, and your a 50 year old man.

Delta, Gunthrie, and I all feel bad for you too, enough is enough just let it go. This isn't high school anymore its a game and we all want to have fun.

Gentlemen I'm sorry for the fuss here, people will tell you 100th BGH is a realistic bombing squad and we're just about to get our 11th member, Also we are getting close to sign up for Allies and Axis arenas. Here is our updated squadron list.

-100Stryk, CO
-100Dino, CO
-100Glenn
-100Hunter
-100Goon
-100B17Gi
-100Chewi
-100Jg121
-100Malak
-100Squid
-100Stug (Has just joined)

I will be assigning an operations officer soon probly 100Huntr, and once we reach 18 members we will then split the bomb group into two. The second wing will be led by 100Dino (XO), and THAT is when we will sign up for A A because I believe that 2 bomb group consists of 9 pilots. There will be 2 bomb groups but all led by me. So again if your interested in a real bomber squad "like the 484th BGH" then give me a PM

Good idea... How'd you and goon like to be the Training officers. See if you can round up Goon he'd like to do it with you. Would be funny though having the squeakers be the trainers  :D  I'm training our 2 new recruits today at 3:00pm est. Come on in if ya like we'll be in the TA. Keep in mind we also have our training meet today 4pm.

Heres the deal with this kid, and the reason Im here. I first met him as VNF216NB. I was new to the game and someone asked for a bomber gunner. The kid was real snide ,but then he apologized, and I gunned for him. He really seemed like a nice kid and I liked him. We talked a few times after that but it was the only time I flew with him.

He came back from a absence and he asked me If I would be the first to join a new bomber squad he was making up. I said sure. He asked if I would have a problem "taking orders from a 17yo kid". I said not really but dont forget its a cartoon game, besides if it dont work out them no harm done.

Literally 5 mins after that I get a message, "meet me at base xx and take out B-17s" with such and such load. I said, "naw I cant right now I have to log early and cant fly bombers. He came back with an attitude that "I have to learn to take orders or I cant be in his squad". :lol And he was serious mind you. I mean the kid was serious. So I went into the O club, removed myself from his squad, and told him "problem solved". The kid continued to give me grief but I just ignored him.

5 mins after that hes comming me back apologizing. I told him, "no problem, dont worry about it, good luck with the squad". I was nice to the kid but told him I just dont take this internet gaming that serious.

Well the kid just wouldnt let it go. He changed his name to VB6command and kept bugging me, or, I'd be flying along seeing tracers from behind, or getting check 6s when no-one was there, and there would be this kid. I asked him nicely to just leave me alone but was starting to think the kid was a little loopy and had a maturity problem. Then I started having some shadow numbered account start with the same thing. I ended up having to E-mail AH but never heard back. And now I got the same kid, under a new name, bothering me in the MA again.

The funny thing is I never had any ill intention to the kid or wanted to see him hurt in any way. I didn't want him to get into trouble with AH and never wanted his bomber squadron to fail. Im only here due to his actions and I thought it was the only way to stop his nonsense. Either hes got to grow up or start taking his Ritalin cause do you really want a squad C/O that cyber stalks other players? Its not that its annoying its more like its weird. Who would keep changing his name like that anyways? But I do love the innocence act kid. :rofl

So now 96Delta knows why. And hopefully next time he'll find out "why" before he opens his mouth in business that aint his. And hopefully this is the last time I'll hear from "whoever he is today".

                Good luck with the squadron.

Send me an email @ "frank_spence2003@yahoo.com" if you need a body.  Someone said tonight that you guys had a web site, I couldn't find it! So I am replying through the forum. Thanks for your time...Frank

Don't worry gents I'm still here and my family is ok I just can't be on aces currently due to my catching up for acedemic studies (college), and family's financial pressure. The order of command is as follows:

100Dino: CO
100Huntr:XO
100Huntr: Ops O

WE are still recruiting and I beleive we have 12 ACTIVE members. We're trying to reach 18. Remember once you join you will receive a one hour training lesson (will cover everything for the squad). So sign yourself up!

<S> I am inactive for the moment

You guys may be just what I'm looking for.  I really enjoy the high altitude bombing.  I like the Lancaster III for it's ord. load-out of 14 1,000 lb bombs.  With the salvos set to 2 and delay to .05, you're guranteed 7 vh's per run.  But I think the B-17's handling and climb rate more than make it a better bomber.  It takes over 30 min. to reach 25k in a Lancaster with 25% fuel.  That's too long for me, and I'm pretty patient.  The B-17 has a much better chance to defend itself with all the guns it has.
I've been flying the B-17 now for the last 3 weeks and I think I'm going to stick with it.  I'm flying with a mouse now, but should be receiving a stick in the mail any day now.  My ID is Coogan.  I fly in the Late War Blue Arena proudly as a Rook.  I'd like to do some runs with you guys if that would be alright.  I am almost always flying around out there, and will be checking this message board regularly.
I have my VOX set to channel 102.  You can give me a shout anytime I'm online, or email me at dbrimm318@aol.com

I hope to see ya's out there... :salute

I ran into these guys once or twice as they ran a mission. Great cohesion, formation flying. I took out a few but the rest kept going. Gave 'em a salute on ch200 but didn't know if they were tuned or not.

Seem like a good unit, to me :aok
