Title: Could use a hand

Back on my POS computer, I used to make movies. And they sucked. Especially the graphics. But, now ive got much better graphics, better music, better skill, and all I need... is a capture program. For some reason on my new computer, fraps does not work, and simply crashes things. So, does anyone know of another free capture program? Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the same kind of question I was going to ask...
I know we can convert the movies to .avi format, but is there a program out there that we can use to convert film formats back-and-forth?  How about editing movies?

Like I want to take a .mov and clip only a small part of it out and send it via email... And convert .mov or .avi to something else...like .mpg's...whatever the case.

Any ideas?  Any websites I can go to?
