The moving hand wheel for horizontal travers in turret is a very nice touch, but I'm afraid it's turning too slow. Currently there is no gear reduction, one revolution of that handwheel = one revolution of the turret. Hardly possible with a purely mechanical rotated gun & turret. Sadly I do not know the actual reduction, but judging from short glimpses of flakvierling videos it should move somewhat like 20 times as fast as the turret.
As this is minor eyecandy only I refrained from putting it into the bug section, hopefully it will get some attention here too ;)
But while looking for some numbers on that reduction gear I also found the following:
"The turret of the vehicle (...) was moved by the Flak and had no self drive. With the side traversing equipment of the Flak, a side traverse of 27°/s was possible. A hydraulic gear, built by DVL (...) was tested on a prototype and allowed a side traverse of 60°/s, but that egar was not used in the production vehicle" (Detlev Terlisten: Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind (Sd.Kfz.161/4) & Ostwind. in: Nuts & Bolts Vol. 13)
Our Wirbelwind turret currently turns at double that speed...

Woah..double the speed?
Also note how the p39's flaps and gear "toggle switch" travel's sloooooooooowly.
my point, some things are limited by animation handled by the game engine.

I don't think so... The WW's turret movement speed was a spec I looked up back when we were speculating about it, pre-release. I was surprised it didn't match what I found (I think on the tarrif.net website).
