Just curious if any of you guys are doing any skins for the Sdkfz 251.

I may do one or two but it won't be for a while. I quite like the idea of a Panzer Grey 251 with a badly worn winter camo over the top.

I can do one, but there is a list of other things in front of it.

I've been considering doing some GV skins but quick question.
[hijack]
How do you guys get an outside view on GVs? I've hit F3 offline & it won't let me see out. I can check them out in the skin viewer but I can't zoom in to check fine detail. Little help with that & I may whip one out for my next skin.

You need to enable it under the "View mode flags" (or similar) in the Arena settings.  I don't remember exactly what it's under, but I do know that it's located towards the bottom of the list.  Hope this helps.

You got any photos of this Greebo?  I want to start skinning but never have the time it seems.  And I started a Yak and got about 70% done and it was the wrong size....  :cry
Maybe doing a GV would be a bit easier in a sense considering the size.... maybe a Jeep.  :D

I've got several books on the 251 with a fair few photos of worn out winter camo schemes.

If you are after an easy introduction to skinning I would not go for a grey 251 however. The problem is you would need to do both the interior and exterior, as the default interior is brown.

Of the new planes and vehicles, the Las are probably the easiest. There's not many panel lines and not much rivet detail, as they were of mostly plywood construction.
