I know we were all noobs at one point in time, and this isn't like a previous thread i made, congratulation one person. This is for everyone, to give someone the attention they deserve for the time they spent making you what you are now. I would like to thank Ghosth, Fuzeman, Bingoin and many others for there time. thanks guys

all of my squad and my dueling friends.

Trainers, friends, squaddies...
when they help me I feel all warm and fuzzy inside... :aok
-
My brother, Flayd1, for getting me started four years ago.
-
Fighting wise I would have to say the numerous posts by trainers and Dedalos/Stang in the DA. Their feedback each time they schooled me helped immensely :)
-
now this is a much better thread then my other one. :noid :noid
-
Sniper, Barbossa, BluKitty, Shane, Creton, WideWing, Fester, KOOL, MtnMan, ......let me think about this a little more, many names start coming back
-
I dont got really got just 1, i mean, main ppl gotta b all the C-hawk members.... theres afew others, ROCKY of course
-BigBOBCH
-
Hell when I started it was Manx vulching me in a 38. Then I got in the 38 and it was all over.
-
Many that i cant think of but big ones are (domin, barbossa, batfinkv, skatsr, tango) these guys took me from last tier and formed me into a capable pilot. and way too many others to list, oh and i forgot the old crew joedog31, sgt203, and of course rattfink. Special shout out to bearkats too who has always been a great sparring partner.
-
Artlaw really got me into the game and tried to teach me how to play even though I compressed just about everything I flew. Squadmates taught me the most though, without a doubt.
-
A big :salute to yenny for showing me that I can rearm instead of exiting and replaning. Now if I could just taxi a little more cautiously... :o
-
The 357th Death Dragons :salute
-
artlaw--took a lot of n00bs and turned them into P51 pile-its
rthus--was a sneaky guy who could turn the tide of a war
MOSQ--really studied planes, performance, guns, etc and told me a lot about match-ups
Soda and his website--I read every single entry in my 1st year playing to learn some basics. I also flew every single plane for a week or so after reading about it.
Leviathn--not so much helping me one on one, but watching videos of him fighting taught me a ton.
-
Hapster, Goody and Yerdogg got me going and helped me in ALL aspects of learning the game.
Creton, Skyrock, and Rolex taught me alot about how to dogfight in the game.
The whole Hells Angel squad has been great about improving my gameplay also :)

in the very begining, it was REN......he helped me a LOT in the old training arena. then MURDR kicked in some help in there too....a lot actually.
in the MA's, JOLLY, FORKER, and members of the 325th(Kuhn). there are some i may be forgetting.
Geophro, and Oldman, for excellent CLEAN fights.......
the most helpful overall though....the Hired Guns......my squaddies......3lips, lazydog expecially. they taught me a lot about bombing in the beginning, and kept supporting me as i learned...even when i was being a love muffin or had a bad attitude.

I never really spent any time in the training arena with anyone as far as actual instruction, and largely learned on my own through trial and (much) error. However I've definitely found forum advice from Widewing, TequilaChaser, and other top Hog sticks of great help in learning to handle the Bent Winged Bird. :salute
-
I have never been trained by anyone, but the most valuable help I got were the write-up's at Soda's Aircraft Evaluation Page. For the first half year it was my bible, reading the descriptions again and again. I can't praise them enough. It's Soda's merit that I didn't get stuck at a 0.5 K/D :D :aok
And then of course all the well and not so well known contributors to the Help&Training forum!
-
<S> Ghosth, helped me my first day, i've been here ever since :)
Steely
-
Without doubt, jdjnr.
:salute
-
Skyrock taught me everything I know about HOing.

Ditto, Not by anyone and Soda's page has helped tremendously.

My squadies LYNX, DREDger, and the rest of the Blind Bats.
:salute

I taught myself everything I know about HOing for money.
:aok
-
Have to thank GGhost, Bergy, Popason, Nomade and the rest of the 79th FG. You all have taken me under you wing (no pun intended) and helped me out tremendously...though I am still not very good.
<BIG S> to the 79th
Regards,
Yank
-
Thank you Yankee, as I am still a bit of a Noob myself, but glad to help.
My mentors have been:
GGhost-my squad C.O. and good friend :salute
Ghosth- the most patient person on the planet, helped me in T/A from day 1 :salute
Morfiend- While he took great pleasure in filling my planes full of bullets in the T/A, he did take a lot of time to help me learn some ACM, and get my pilot views figuered out. :salute
Murdr-The second most patient man in the T/A, it was almost hard to concentrate on flying as he is gigling over the vox and filling your plane full of bullets. :salute
Really, all the trainers deserve a BIG salute :salute
Just remember, all the noobs you send to the T/A, these guys have to deal with them from there. :rock
-
68 KO way back when...
RIP Bill :salute
-
iceMAW, Shane, Leviathn ... most here won't know those names.
-
Hammer, and especially Murdr. BatfinkV and TC for those films -- helped me immensely.
Waited far too long doing it on my own, wish I had come to trainers earlier...unlike many areound here, I am far from a natural gamer and have little-to-no sense how much to lead a moving target!
-
Wotan, Urchin, Moot, Lazerus, Bluedog, Geeb, Dead, Steady
-
Jack Danials No7. Without him I'd take this thing way to seriously.
In all seriousness every squadie and friend I've made has helped me. They make the game fun, and relieve myself and others from the crap out life very often. If your reading this it prob includes you at some point or will <S>
-
Dictozzz from Lentolaivue 34.
He instructed basics from dogfighting in DA, where we flow many thursdaynights. It opened whole new world for me in AH. Nowadays playing is much more fun as i dare challenge any plane with my bf109 (Donīt get me wrong, iīm only average pilot, but at least i can do something). Still dying a lot, but mostly by pickers due my poor SA. And still i am poor shooter :D
<S> Dictozzz

Domin and Bighorn.
-
BatfinkV, Biggles, Tele, Maha - oh and Airsys, DiesIrae, Irustler, Barbossa and others.... ;)
-
LYNX
A great helper in Aces High
-
ION7- helped me when I was real new to learn the basics especially how to tank.
triumph- helped me alot with dogfighting tactics and plane strengths.
-
I was luck enough to have help from a lot of people. So many that I may forget a few, so please don't get mad. Here are some of the names
2BigHorn, Phish, Airsys, DiesIrae, Barbossa, Bovidae, Broccoli, etc
Sad though that all of them have become HOing cherry pickers now. :(
-
1) Soda's Aircraft Evaluation Page
2) Murdr's videos
3) All the guys who sent me to the tower wondering "How The F**k did he do that?" (LYNX & m00t come to mind).
-
Ghosth, Morfiend, Zmonster, and my squadmates :salute
-
Batfink , Hajo , Nomde , JensK , Biggles , Snaphook , Biggles, Levi , TW9 , Wadke , Grim...long list.
Batfink I would say has been the biggest help tho....I can't beat him...but absolutley love to fly with him. Best wingman I could have.
-
MORAY (the original 479th MORAY not the current one) Manx, NathBP, Shane and Leviathn. MORAY switched to AH a few weeks before the rest of the squadron so he could learn the game and help us all when we made the transistion. Once we made the switch, Manx took some time and helped us with getting over the learning curve. Shane, Nath and Leviathn all took the time to answer my questions and helping me out by going with me to the DA, sending me films and providing a very fun and enjoyable time whenever they were on.
ack-ack

Optiker and rowdy1

Nomak
-
There used to be a guy named Casey on AH. He flew bombers quite a bit in the old AH1 DA. I was flying with a mouse at the time, and after attacking him and getting blown out of the sky by him probably 100 times, he told me everything (well, almost everything) I was doing wrong (my name was 5411 at the time). Pretty cool guy. :aok :aok :aok
-
Miamiace helped me out alot, but in the two times ive been to the DA with skyrock ive learned more than i ever have.
-

first off, gotta thank soda and MOSQ for their respective websites, they helped me a lot when i was starting out.
then, :salute batfinkv, m00t, dedalos, creton, snaphook, tonyjoey, just for giving tips, going 1 on 1, and otherwise helping a n00b like me.
i'm still a target drone, but i'm improving :D

A great big :salute to (+) for there help with all my bombing knowledge. They are a bunch of first class gentlemen :aok. My squad the VMF-124 Whistling Death (formaly Blackhawks) for helping me with Fighters and situational awareness. Then my friend Stroker1 for exchanging insights to the game with me. :salute to all Knights who helped me that I may have left out.

I'll try to do this from people that helped me when I first started playing, getting the basics down. These people are Chenault, Adrian, Vaq, Knife.
And now the people who helped me out much much later. Bigmax, Regurge, Soda, Hblair (pretty much all the old assassin guys) and several of the old Jg2 crew namely Urchin, Moot, and JGD44 (I think that was his name at the time) aka AHGOD.
And from there, I passed all my wisdom along to sniper, bighorn, and several other guys I ran into in the DA that I don't think stuck with the game. On an aside note, I'd also like to <S> Nomak not only as a sparring partner, but an overall nice guy who at no charge to me; sent me my old favorite stick (I had one at one time that I loaned to a buddy and never got back) the MSFF2.

adonai,AAtalen

I would have to say 1HitMan and MiaMiAce, their the one's that took me under their wing and help me when i first started.

Bear--Milvil--Rolex--Ren--Angry--and Jack Daniels :salute

I cant really thank anyone. Most of what i know is learned by trial and error, but way back i did get some valuable lessons by a few guys in the 56th on how to fly the jug so <S> to them.
-
Knife and all of The Blue Knights.
-
AKNimitz. He didn't teach me much, other than an appreciation of Lancaster HQ raids (back when 2 lancs -- no formations -- could kill an HQ). I didn't learn to fly better -- god no I sucked! -- but he taught me a bit about enjoying the game.
Warhawk (HTH). He ran a HTH room, and while not always the best choices (some planes disabled, etc) he helped me appreciate 1x ammo and 1x fuel burn (a rarity in HTH rooms at the time). He also got me flying some other planes I wasn't too interested in. Basically broadened my horizons a bit. I didn't learn to fly better from him either.
I learned to fly through trial and error. I read the forums, checked out some other pages (oddly I didn't find Soda's info all that helpful), and this may explain why it took me a while to move past "the suck" as a skill level.
-
TwentyFO was one of the first recruits to my squad along time ago he helped build the structure of the squad and helped setup regs and rules that our squad goes by to this day :salute TwentyFo
Just dont ask him to sing :huh :rock
-
Artlaws- for showing me the basics YEARS ago
FsCage - For showing me the advanced flying techniques I always forget to use today!
-
I'd have to thank Merlin01 for getting me into the game
Wonder for tank
BHawk 51 for bomber
LYNX, DeBag, and everyone else in the DEA
And the members of the JUGS for the fighter and attack training that is still ongoing
-
iceMAW, Shane, Leviathn ... most here won't know those names.

Back when I was a two weeker, 68 Falcon gave me invited me on a raid and gave me some basic info. Then I got recruited and the guys from the old SS showed me some ropes. Since then a few have offered but gave up pretty quick. Not that I blame them, I would have too. I'm grateful for the effort.
-
The first day I logged into AH, I stumbled across Helm and Zaphod, friends from AW. They took me under their wing and I flew with the Nazguls until the 327th Steel Talons moved from AW to AH. Thanks to Helm and Zaphod for getting me started and all the Nazguls including Melkor, Boxboy, Targut, Goth, Palerdr, and others for putting up with me 6 1/2 years ago.
When the 327th made the move, it was my turn to teach dot commands, calibration, and how to find the bomb site.
<S> Nazguls

Warlockl is the main guy that has helped me out when i first got in, and DOOBEE now. Me and DOOBEE been flying together the entire time ive been on. So a <S> to those guys.

Tac, Viking, all the real old =TED= dweebs. Fought Fester a couple times and I asked him how the hell he was owning me, he taught me the barrel roll defense that I still use occasionally to this day. The rest I can thank myself for, upping repeatedly and getting shot to crap in a furball.
-
Dictozzz from Lentolaivue 34.
Ty whitey, nice to have been of assistance. To extend the chain a bit, for me the help of Wmaker and Vuokko has been a great help to overcome some obstacles and trying to become a better pilot. In fact the best time I have had online is when totally wasted due to the consuption of beer and having some fun at the DA with these guys! :salute
-
Greetings,
Oddcaf - the gruf ol' man who showed me the ways of the jug (the plane silly!) and how to be a wingman.
Karaya - the mean talker who seemed to always wander into a fight with no way out.....except he found one (sometimes)
Stoney - organization in a squad / mission (well, except when his girlfriend calls)
and many, many others, Ducky, Cyou, Rock and Toonces. Heck, I just learned a lot from everyone!
Regards,
-
Well,
Everything I know I taught myself except for the stuff that Taxi, Shify, P6EHawk, Jester, Seabees, Lowdwn-shortbus, Shane, MVJester, Ratpack and some others taught me.

All of my fellow C-hawks for sure, all of r just excelent pilots, and good friends :D

Kermit gave me a great lesson on forcing the overshoot once

Artlaw, for the umpteenth time, has helped me out since I started Aces High. I joined some missions that Artlaw ran back in AH1. His squad, "The Ones" were a great group of guys. I joined "The Ones" shortly after I go into the Aces High community. Since then he has helped me a great deal with not only tactics and strategies, but learning the game and how the close community of Aces High really works. I was with him and his squad for a couple years until he had decided to step down. He said work was getting to him, in and out of jobs and just didn't find the time nor the money to continue. I have missed him after a while. He was a very great friend of mine and to many here in the Aces High community. He was a loud, opinionated, but very fair "dude." He had his occasional whine like everyone else, but the next moment he was the first in line to complement someone. His humor goes unnoticed as I, the squad, and countrymen had countless laughs.
Saw him pop in once or twice a year after he left (around 2005 maybe?), but he didn't have much to say and was sometimes in H2H a bit. His last conversations with me were brief, but I know nothing of his future or where he is today. I'll try to shoot him an email if it hasn't changed.
:salute Artlaw and :rock on!
-
Adonai and airfool <S>
