I was thinking whenever you ditch in the water, your plane comes to a screeching halt. How about if you will sink. It will depend on how fast you are going, if you go fast you you plummet into the water and most likely dissintagrate. In other words, instant death. Medium speeds you will probaby hit your head on the control panel, knock you out, and drown. It other words a fast sinking. If you go slow into the water it will still sink fast but not as fast.
What I am thinking is when you hit the water a bar will appear, you must rapidly press enter fast enough to escape. Depending on the speed.
Or you can do it another way, post alternatives and your thoughts..

here's an alternative...
How about they not waste their time on useless little details such as this and spend more time on new hardware and functions that actually affect gameplay--like backseat drivers, for example.

Of course if they modeled water to allow aircraft to sink properly then other craft could sink properly.
For those on the short bus think "SUBMARINE".

How about fixing the way ships sink on the game?

Whats wrong with it?

They should also fix the 60-foot splash produced when you shoot your pilot's 45 into the water. :D

Well since when does a Carrier sink nose first? I'd like to see the Carrier sink sideways, or maybe the cruiser split in half. Anything different than the nose first way we have now (not that I hate it).

We'd Need Water First, However I Made A Post Exactly Like This, With Bigger Words :D So I Have No Room To Talk...

how about if a torpeedo sinks it it capisises

We could have multiple siinking methods.....nose down, tail down, capsizeing etc. In the current one, the ship sinks too steep IMHO. A gradual gradient with the nose disappearing below water line would look much better than the current @rse up method.

I wounder why the plane wouldnt change its code to "pt boat" when it hits the water, that way we would get the wake effect, and the plane would semi submerge in parts.
Not sinking, but..not sitting on water like its ice.

Would be nice to see ships sinking in different ways; As for planes, sounds good but I don't see it happening any time soon - good call though :aok

Depends where it floods from, the Titanic went in bow first and broke in half.

Yeah I've wanted real water physics for a long time now. The closest we got was the animated water, which was cool, you could instantly see where your GV would get bogged and sink.

i like it AND ADD SHARKS no not going to happen

Not unless they have frikin' lasers on their frikin' heads!

It would be pretty cool to have pby planes to pick up downed pilots and upon landing with pilot back at base you get a bunch of perk points. Land on the water deploy a raft pick up pilot and take off again.
