Title: My first set of offline missions
Post by: Baumer on March 26, 2008, 02:47:10 PM
I had previously posted this in the Help and Training section. I thought it might be good to have them here as well.
http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/files/ghosth/missions.zip (http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/files/ghosth/missions.zip)

It's a collection of 8 missions they are all 2 v 2, lot's of fun.

I've updated all the previous missions with the editor. They are all now 4 v 4, with the exception of Lengro's. It is a 12 v 12, two flights of six SpitV's versus two flights of six Bf109's it's a blast! Have fun.

Been playing some. Lots of fun! :)
Lengros was a blast, but it ended the mission before we killed all the bad guys. :) Ghosth mentioned a time limit that needs to be adjusted.

Thanks for the time that you have put into these Baumer these have been lots of fun and great for killing time at work. Especially since I am at a station where I am not allowed to use the internet for my laptop.

Daddog, with some help from Soda, I've been able to figure out how to increase the time allowed in each segment. I will increase the time for the combat segments for that mission.Currently you have about 4 minutes I was thinking about doubling that to 8 minutes, any thoughts or recommendations?

<S> dkff49 glad I could help

Sounds good to me

I was in a Spit V (or VIII?) today, getting completely owned (as usual), when I got teleported away.
Probably saved my pixelated life, lol

Great work on the missions, they're loads of fun whatever you decide to do.

You could probably set it to 8 minutes default, and include a readme on how to increase/decrease it.

I've updated the legs so that you have 8 minutes for combat. Works out much better :).

I've got a couple of other new missions that are close to being done. I'll package them all up as a second set tomorrow.

Cool. Do we have to delete your others for the updated ones with longer time limits to work, or just extract the new pack?

Yes I think 8 minutes would work.

As I fight the AI I am thinking they are better pilots then they are shots. I would say most of the AI are above average pilots, but below average in gunnery.

Awesome missions.

Would be nice to have some p-39Q's vs. Ki-61's.

OK, this is the last update I'm going to make to the first mission set. I've updated some of the first missions as well as added a few more, to round out the set.

I actually have to get back to RL! :lol

http://332nd.org/dogs/baumer/BaumersMissionSet1.zip (http://332nd.org/dogs/baumer/BaumersMissionSet1.zip)

A rundown of the missions-

TeeerexsTemerity-    (4) P-51D's v (4) Fw190D's

NEW
BaumersBrewHaaHaa- (4)Ta152's & (4)Bf109K's v (4)Tempest's & (4)Spitfire 14's **(High Altitude & Longer Fight Time)**
P-39QvKi-61-    (4) P-39Q's v (4) Ki-61's
TempestvMe262-    (4) Tempest's v (4) Me262's **(High Altitude & Longer Fight Time)**
WGr-21Practice-    (1) Bf110G-2 v (3) B-24J's, (3) B-17G's & (3) Lancaster's **(High Altitude & Longer Fight Time)**

NOTES
In the WGr-21 practice mission there are three sets of bombers. They are spaced out to arrive roughly every 2 minutes into the engagement area. They will not fire at you, so this mission is really just to practice using the WGr-21 air to air rockets.

A tip about the AI if you want to keep it from diving to the deck, get lateral separation before the merge. Also, try to go up slightly be for merge, and you'll get better results.

Thanks for all the help and feedback, enjoy

Way fun

the 12 on 12 mission can get intense
If you extend a little past the swarm 2 of them chase you so it isnt an immediate drop to the deck turn fight

Thanks that you guys put so much effort into this

I haven't tryed the offline missions yet, my question is can I put all of baumers missions in the file or do you have to change them out one at a time? Also, I know you have to substitute the file, at least I asum so, do I just relable Baumers file ?

Yanks, just extract the zip file and save all the files into the "offmiss" folder in AH2 that's it. no need to copy over or delete anything.

Enjoy!

LOL Finally got it to work.

I was cutting and pasting all of them into one folder.  :o
The mission would spawn and I would have about 20 different aircraft stacked in one place on the runway.  :huh

Anyway been having fun with them baumer. Excellent work. :)

Greetings,

Thank you for the many missions.  So far I have only flown the P40 v 109.  Had a blast.  1 down, 2 wounded, ded twice in three flights.

I am gonna use your mission to entice some box players over to Aces High. . . .

Regards,
