I found it rather funny.

But then, I have more of a Gnostic view of the world.

Viewed totally out of context as it will be posted as it was it could certainly rub some of the bible bashers up the wrong way.
I have no issue with it at all. It conveys a very real sentiment.

I think it was based on one of Mark Twain's stories.  A bit removed from ole Huck Finn.

"Bible basher" or not, I found it fascinating and mysterious. That is has been banned in the US is just one more example of how we are increasingly overprotective of our children these days. I find Bible stories just as intriguing  and fun as other works of fiction.

Agreed lumpy :aok
IMO the very best protection we can give our children is the opportunity to be exposed to many different concepts and grant them the ability to form their own balanced opinions.

I can't see how the bible is any less creepy or disturbing, why don't they ban that. God telling a man to sacrifice his son, only to stop him at the last minute to test his loyalty. God seeming to protect and oversee only certain people. Heeping diseases, murders, natural disasters.

It's time man fesses up and realizes God isn't doing any of this to us. Or the Devil, it is us, and a result of our own warped, perverted, perspective on reality. In truth we live in a dimensional universe of created thought reality, and reality is whatever it is to the experiencer. God or otherwise. We are small versions of our creator, with the same basic qualities gone astray, due to our own misunderstandings. God is none of the things man projects him to be. For him to protest that would result in the disruption of our own willpower and the eradication of humanity. He must let us live in our delirium, and answer our questions ourselves. Which is what this current state of life is for.

I am not scared of God or judgement..only myself, my fellow man, and the karma that results from each of our actions.

i did not mean this to be bible bashing, but if you took everything out of context, it is sorta scary in a twisted way

I'm not bible bashing. Just believe people take the bible out of context. And beat each other into submission with twisted ideas. I believe the impetus of the bible is correct, only before it has passed through the filter of man's impure mind. As all religions are.... not God made, but man made.

The cartoon is a cynical view, probably written from a point of sarcasm as most artists do to create thought. The people that made that cartoon were, playing with a few things, we believe. It might seem weird to adults, but probably to children it went over there heads, and didn't quite get it. Then they go play.

It's dangerous to me to be banning things though. Who are they trying to protect? Who's mother and father are they trying to be?

On the contrary, I liked it.  It has a very Gnostic feel to it.  If you have an opened mind, you should browse the following website.  I don't totally agree with a lot of it, but...

The truth is like picking berries...If you look at the tree from only one angle, you'll miss a lot of berries.

LMAO "other works of fiction" LMAO
Lumpy always remember Pat Robertson hates you :)
But then that false profit is so out of touch its amusing sometimes to see what that religion is trying to get people to do in "the name of god"

LOL If he hates me he isn't a very good Christian. :)

The Bible has been the foundation of some of the best fantasy/horror stories ever made: Hellblazer (Constantine movie), Clive Barker's Hellraiser series, Steven King's The Last Stand, just to name a few. No wonder the Bible is so popular! ;)

Well all I can say about religion, God, Satan, and all that kind of stuff, is prove it is real in the first place, and maybe we'll go from there. Personally i believe the Darwin was right, I really don't believe there is an endless god out there since everything has a beginning and an end. Somebody would have prove to me beyond a shadow of doubt there an entity that has always been and will always be. When I say prove I mean physical evidence, not a book that anybody could have written, for all we know the bible might have been a Shakespeare play.

That's just wrong.  Whether it is true or not, it was written well before the time of Shakespeare.
