hi guys i got a problem
i cannot get my p39 skins that i have done to show up offline in pratice?
i followed the useual route
eg p39d_1 put in a name txt ect and it only shows the default skin and no extra skins, has
anyone one else got this problem?
any ideas how to fix it?
-
Try P39D_2-15.
-
nah thats not worked either :furious
-
Is your .txt file named "p39d" or did you put the "_#" in that too?
-
no the txt file is just p39d
-
I just tried it to test it out, Rogerdee, and it works for me the way all other skins do - ie folder name p39d_1, bmp file is p39d.bmp,
text file is p39d.txt.
Hope you get it sorted.
Which 39d skins did you do?
-
one is a p39q 46fs 15fg
one is a p39d 601 squadron RAF
one is a p39 m in north africa
-
Would that RAF bird be acceptable? I believe they never saw combat and had only about 4 operational at any one time,
-
i dont know but it was operational and it did see combat although we thought
the plane was a hunk of junk.So it was grounded pretty quick.but it shows up in 601 squadron
history and flight reports.
That would be a decision for HTC to make,at the moment i an just trying different skins and finishes and ideas.

Nice choices on the skins. One note about the P-39M from North Africa - I believe the yellow surround was used only on the fuselage insignia - not the wing insignias. The profile of this ship in Squadron/Signal's "P-39 in Action" shows this.
It'll be good to get these in game - I especially like the RAF one.
-
well i fixed the problem of the skins not showing of line .like a avacado i names the txt file
p39d.txt and not just p39d.
I got to do some more searching about the african p39,other american aircraft show show the yellow surround on all the stars although they werent p39s,maybe dan has some beter proof as he is the main man on all things that fly.
stil thats only a little thing to adjust

Well I cannot get the P39Q to work offline either. It shows in the skin view just fine.
-
my problem was with the txt file
instead of haveing it as p39d i put p39d.txt
the computer was reading it as p39d.txt.txt as the computer adds a .txt to it
-
I told you. :)

Although the bmp file is P39Q the text file needs to be p39q.txt
