i hooked a tree when coming onto land at a vbase.... was hoping it would get more of the tail, but it just sent my wind into the ground :furious
but i still managed a cartwheel, and ALMOST landed upside down....
best i can do for now!

hmm, no upside down landing, no flames....then again cartwheel. Glad I'm only in charge of pouring booze into the drinks and then tasting them (several times) after blending.
-
oops, forgot to mention the flames.... they blew out on the WAY too fast approach... still fun stuff tho... wish i had more pix, but only 1 on clipboard at a time =(

While we do appreciate your desire to join our ranks, unfortunately, your landing does still need some work before it can be considered up to SAPP standards. We highly recommend that you join our Junior SAPP Aviator Program where you will receive professional and top notch instruction on how to properly "land" your P-38. After that intensive 104 week program, you'll be able to land your P-38 with the high standards we expect of all Junior SAPP Aviators, which will then make you eligible for full SAPP member status.

well, i guess i'll keep working on it then :aok

Hello SAPP Applicant,
Your landing is a good start, but we are looking for more parts missing than you have currently accomplished. We appreciate your efforts, but in order to join our ranks of unmatched crashes (landings) you will need to accomplish at least 3, if not more, of the following : fire, cartwheel, no booms, pilot wound, wings gone, and gear down (belly landings are acceptable only if you can make extreme quantities of metal fly from your plane in the process). It is sad to note that you are also not on the pavement, while we SAPPs enjoy a good wreck, we also like the satisfaction of getting a successful (if it can be called that) landing. We cannot accept you at this time. Please practice this more, and submit an updated image of your progress to be analyzed.
Also take a look at AKAK's program for Junior SAPP aviators. His 104 week class is worth the time spent learning how to land properly. Upon accomplishment of his course you will receive pending member status and we will look further into your SAPP abilities, to see whether or not you cut it.
Thanks,
Mensa

Good thinking! :D

That is good Hazard6, simply do it on pavement, add fire, and shorten that left wing and you're in! I also see that you have ord, SAPPs don't carry ord.

There was a fire. Left wing on fire, right engine dead. Tried to ditch. Dogded a vulcher, turned into hill, pulled up to avoid, left wing snapped, over-corrected, and the result is what you see :devil. Will try and repeat on pavement next time. Ords were all gone on an enemy town by this time, will try an avoid next time. :P
Btw, how do you guys know there wasn't a PW :huh? Does is show in screenies?
:noid S.A.P.P. know too much :noid

I refer you to a couple of threads on SAPP landings. It's taken me years of crash..er...landing practice to get to this level. :aok

Can I be a Junior Aviator?
-
Eagl if you can show proof you have a genuine interest, I'll run you by AKAK.
-
Hmm not that I'm wanting to join and I usually pride myself on exelent landings even when heavily damaged but I bet I can (improve) my errm "landings" for some amusing pics to be posted. :) Will work on it tomorrow. :P

Submitted for your approval… After many failures, I proudly present, my first successful landing ON A DESTROYER!
My P38 ended up balanced on the nose, leaning against a 5-inch gun mount.

Please add bonus points for the 1000 positions my rank dropped, as I did this online in the main arena.

High marks for style, and originality Papabear.
You also managed to rip off both tail booms. Impressive.
It would have been a 10/10 if both engines were on fire.
Someone has to post SpixesX's picture application to show 'em how its done. THAT was maybe the best application EVER!
