Title: Turning off mic talk back through speakers
Post by: wrongwayric on March 30, 2008, 10:37:38 AM
I know you can do this but for the life of me can't remember how to do it. When i transmit it comes through my desktop speakers. I can't stand to wear a headset and play. I am running vista and useing a soundblaster extreme gamer sound card.

That's not it. I want to be able to use my mic still and hear sounds out of my speakers, just not me talking back through it everytime i transmit. By doing what you suggested it turns off the desktop speakers/mic that's not what i need.

Make sure you mute it in the PLAY control, don't uncheck it in the RECORD control.

Make sure that ingame on the vox channel you don't have your name selected.
