Remember joking about folks who check the level of gas in the tank with a lighter? Here is a film clip of just that kind of idiot. You won't believe what kind of vehicle he was trying to check the level of.  :huh

That is the reason why I think we need to ban warning labels.  The reverse darwinism in action is making the herd dumber.

According to the comments on this video, they say the man did not survive. HOWEVER, since it is youtube comments take it with a grain of salt.

I think it was last year when we had a similar case over here in Finland. Some guy was checking if there was fuel left some sort of a fuel tank (not a tank truck) and figured it was a good idea to use a lighter to illuminate it. He survived it by only burning some of his hair, eyebrows and facial hair, nothing permanent though. Apparently the tank was quite empty because it didn't start a fire, just enough fumes left to scare the crap out of the guy.
