Title: Is it permitted to post video of other games? I posted it, if wrong delete it
Post by: Stott on March 31, 2008, 11:18:49 AM
I will completely understand. I play this and WW2 Online. Is it allowed to post video of other peoples games? I really haven't seen many from any other games so I don't want to start a trend:-)

This is an entry into Cornered Rats Software trailer production. The guy did some terrific work and I thought some would enjoy it. If it is wrong to post other games videos, I apologize and deleting it will be understood.

They allow videos of other games, in particular Cornered Rat software, because frankly they are no threat to AH (speaking from a software bug point of view) :)

It has bugs, but they don't stop the immersion for me. Anyway I am glad I didn't violate a forum rule.

The limit view range, wierd flight model, odd damage model all do it for me. But what really puts me off that game is its developers attitude towards players.

Limit view range I don't understand. 4k meters is the lowest distance for the infantry and more for fllying. It is probably a matter of taste for the flight model but to me the damage model seems deep. I only wanted to show the guy's work which I thought showed some talent for editing and stuff not more than that.

99% of the time your running around looking for action. You find it and are either killed by some unknown or its over before you find out who's shooting who.

Thats how it was when I played.

GVs were fun. Aircraft were not.

I played two times total of my 14 day trial. The graphics look 10 years old and the whole game can only be described with one word: clumsy.

Another word I found in my mind was arcadish, especially the flight. The only good thing about the game I could think of was the community. Plenty of helpful players and squads did formation takeoffs etc. cool stuff.

Overall judgement is however that after the 14 days is gone so am I.

This is turning wrong, but the graphics seem fine to me considering the view distance, the players drawn, the trees, buildings, bodies, hulks, towns. The graphics seem to have to be, some guy said budgeted, so that medium machines can play. The game will never look as good as some of my 32 player games. Some people like it and some don't. This will be my last post.
