Title: Some other US navy planes
Post by: cowboy03 on April 02, 2008, 07:57:35 PM
I realise the redundancy of these since they allready have simular aircraft but I'd like to see:

the Navy PBJ-1 or at least a Navy Skin for one of the B-25s.

and the Navy PB4Y-2 Privateer, a modified B-24, with the Single tail, double top turrets, blister turrets on the sides, no ball turret on the bottom, and nose and tail guns.

and finally the nightfighter variant of the A-20 (P-70), with 4X 20mm Cannons in the nose.

How about some Russian,Japanese, and Italian planes first?

I totally agree that there needs to be more Italian, Japanese and Russian AC first....I'm just putting the idea out there for the future.

I'd love to see the Floatplane version of the Zero myself, that'd be kinda fun.

Once.

If we get carrier launched B25's that can be launched often, I.E. not once in a very desperate situation like the Doolittle raid, I want Bf.109T's.

We'll never get B-25s launchable from CVs.  If you want the Bf109T you'd best find another hook.

Wonder if more b-25s flew off a cv deck than 109-Ts? ;)

The Ohka would be interesting, but then we would also need the G4M. That and it's unbalancing unless using it means being kicked out of the arena for at least 24 hours.

How about some Russian,Japanese, and Italian planes first?

Russian DB-3F and TB-7

Japanese "Tony" and "Jake"

 Those first then :D

As for the "Baka"bombs, maybe making them unable to eject, as you would have been locked in anyways, and count as more than one death for the flyer to even out the ease of just flying a bomb into a building or ship?

No, I was just using a Japanese word, one which very accurately describes the poster I quoted.

I take it posting the translation is a rule violation

P-70 would be perked, its a radar fighter w/ 4 X 20MM right (nightfighter=needs for radar)?  and as Subway said, we need for axis planes like italian and japinese.

I've seen it translated as "fool", "stupid" and "idiot".

But, Bf.109T's served more operational sorties than the B25 did off a carrier. Though I haven't found if they had a tail hook when serving in Helgoland with 11./JG11.
Still, a 109E with a larger wingspan... think Dora to 152... out-turning Zeroes...  :rock

Only once...and IIRC it was a different model B25 (A B25D maybe?)

would you really want to fly a b25 without guns/ammo and very limited fuel/ords?

Like they want to fly back anyway. They just want to pork & auger and grab more carrier launched B25's.... rinse and repeat.

Well, this game is semi-historic...

What about Dolittle's raid they had B-25's, but B-26's cant be launched. C-47s could land and launch from CV's as well with wep and full flaps they could launch.

plus b25s have to have 25% fuel with full load of bombs to get off the cv

Is the Brewster Model 239 a navy plane? :D

Well the B25 off a CV was only used once...
I don't think a C47 has ever been tried on and off a CV in real life...
Were B26's used off a CV?

If we were to get another U.S. cv AC I'd like to see the Helldiver. I know it's big ugly and underpowered, but i still like it for some reason.

rather get Tu-2, Pe-2 some more Japanese AC first.

I think they were actully B-25Bs!!!!

And the P-70 wouldn't have to even be a whole new plane, just an all black skin download and different ordnance options for the A-20. Who needs the radar? None of the levels have night time I don't think. lol

i dont think they could to big of a wingspan and didn't dolittle shorten the b-25's wings?
