Title: F4U-1 Temperature
Post by: Puck on April 04, 2008, 10:50:13 AM
While we're changing head positions on the osti would it be possible to alter head positions in the F4U-1 to allow the pilot to monitor temps?  I'm not sure who decided to put the gauge on the far bottom right corner, but you can only see it out of the corner of your eye.  The -1 is the only F4U with this problem.

Gee...look what's in the lower right corner of an actual F4U-1  ;)

It was moved to the left on later models.

That's it.  This is war.  (now I have to go check my F4U-1 cockpit drawing again)

It would STILL be nice to actually be able to see it, particularly when your plane captain forgets to put in the engine oil.  She's not a very good mechanic, but then I'm not a very good pilot and she does have other...skills...

Just remap forward and down for the view of instruments you prefer.
