The "P51B" looks a bit more like an A36 Apache, though I am not sure.  I though the low fixed scoop like that one was on the A36, the P51B had the more modern and recognized later scoop.

Cannon armed P-51. I'm pretty sure it was desginated P-51 or Mustang IA and was not a B.

Didn't the P51 A and B have the later shaped lower radiatior air coolant scoop?

The pictures are all off a website that has lots of color shots.  Not at home so I don't have the site address, but it's official photos taken back then.

Early Allison Mustangs some RAF bound and some USAAF  No A36s that I could see.

Oh, I hosed up that second picture when I scanned it. scroll full right to capture how awesome it is.  See all the crew chiefs laying on the wings? Apparently the angle of the cockpit was steep enough on the roll that the crew chiefs guided them to runway. :)  Awesome, eh?

Great clip there. That one hanger got absolutely HOSED through the open door towards the end of the clip.  :O
