The new season of BSG has started :rock
Starbuck is back....but is she?
I really wasnt expecting the first show to answer much but I wasnt expecting it to end like it did :furious
I was hoping it would at least name the 5th cylon but now Im wondering if there is actually a 6th one nobody knew about.
Anyways anyone else watch it? have any thoughts?
I took a look at the BSG boards :O they have a harder time staying on topic than we do :noid

Love the show. You have a point they do jump all over the place

Great premiere! The mystery of Starbuck, where the heck did she come from? The Viper, does it have serial numbers?
I'm looking forward to this season, I'm betting a full on Cylon civil war is about to take place between the 'tools' (the toasters, fighters, etc) and the skinjobs.
-
I believe Starbuck encountered The Beings of Light (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Beings_of_Light). Those of you who watched the original series will know what I'm talking about.
-
Sure, that's possible, but they haven't had any aliens this series yet, so I'm going to stay on the fence there. I was sure thinking of the BoL last night when they showed the final 5 in the operahouse, they look like 'em.
-
In the show the chief said that this was the same tail number that she left in and that he had been working on from the beginning. I know they asked about serial numbers and I think he said they matched also. However it was weird with 3 of the newest skinjobs hanging around talking about Starbuck being a cylon.

The Cylons would try to have people in key positions in as many fields as possible. Saul Tigh is a key Line Officer, Galen Tyrol is a key union member and mechanic, Anders a pilot, and Foster is in a key position with the cabinet. What other fields would they need someone in...medical...law...?
-
The all too annoying 10 episode "season", reluctance to re-run, and over-long (to put it mildly) hiatus have combined to completely kill any interest I once had in the show.
-
The Anders/Starbuck Cylon conversation was aaaawwwkwaaard....
-
I can`t stand the fact this is the last session of the show :furious :furious First Jericho Now BSG I know the told us last session but still it is like all the good shows are going off the air :cry For a guy that does not watch much TV it is killing me :uhoh

Not that dang Crystaline Entity from the original BSG....nooo.
-
Eww BSG, torchwood, and doctor who episodes, time to warm up the router :D
-
So does Torchwood get any better? I watched the first few episodes of the first season, but I didn't care for it all that much.

It has hot alien lesbians.

Five little words and you've piqued my interest!

I hadn't watched BSG at all until now, avoided all the spoilers so I could enjoy it once I had time for it. With all the praise it's gotten, I was expecting something really good...
Not. The first episode is pretty good, and the episodes after that have some ok moments, but otherwise it's nothing more than a cheap soap opera. The actors are crappy, the dialog is corny, the characters' personalities are inconsistent... Pretty disapointing.
Does the acting and do the scenarios writers get any better as the seasons go on?
-
no. Total FAIL imo.
-
It's ok, not everybody can follow the story lines. It's unreasonable to expect everyone to function at that level, but those models still have their uses.
-
Chairboy, the acting is mediocre and so are the scripts. Maybe they're competing for who can do the corniest job - I dunno. The setting for the stories is good most of the time, but it just never pans out like it could.
I followed the story and the acting (suspension of disbelief), and scripts still sucked as bad as B/Z series like "Earth 2" or pretty much any top-tier soap opera. The random appeals to emotion are mind bogglingly cheap. Overall, it's like the filming sets' cardboard sceneries are about to fall over any moment.

Moot, quick question, does the version you're watching have Lorne Greene or Edward James Olmos as Adama?
;)

Adama released her. Gave her a ship with jump capability with a hand picked crew to let her go
find the way to earth. Adama said he believed her and would rather be wrong in following her then
not try.
