Sorry if its been brought up before but..

if you shot the cockpit can you kill the pilot?

Whenever you see the enemy aircraft you are shooting explode, it is becase you killed the pilot.

I love it when the plane explodes in front of me.  That's the ultimate kill :-)

you can injure the pilot, but I don't know if the damage model we have yet is cockpit sensitive, from my experience: is not cockpit sensitive.

avoid HO and learn to fight ;P

If it weren't for cockpit pilot kils, I'd have about 20 less bomber kills last tour.

Oh yeah, pilot kills are possible and a nice suprise  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  Last one, I came barreling strait in on a bomber from high off his tail with no respect for his guns that would surely tear me to pieces as soon as he trained 'em on me, I pulled the trigger and <ping> <ping> <BOOM>.  I was suddenly flying through debris!  And left with a comment on the open channel calling BS because there's no way a P51B's guns could kill a buff that fast  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
