Title: The tiny trees..are there more of them?
Post by: FiLtH on April 09, 2008, 11:52:55 PM
Seems like theres a lot more single trees now. Were more added in the big patch? Framerates seem to be affected.

My stutters cleared up entirely. FR back to norms for me. Did you change anything to combat those stutters so many were having? May need to change it back.

Neg everything is the same. It just looks like there are more dots on the ground than there was before the patch. I also notice this in the difficulty I have determining a GV from a tree. Just looks busier to me.

It seems that PETA has infiltrated HTC. The large patches of trees have been removed to hopefully curb the excessive man/sheep love that plagues our virtual land. SHEEP HAVE RIGHTS TOO!! (I still wish we could blow them up) :devil :noid

I used to run with my ground detail all the way up, however, after the patch I have to have it almost the way down now to be playable.  Ah well! Same FR issues as you filth

Dunno but I can tell you that in a GV you cant pass between two trees the same as you used to. Its like their hit bubble has been made larger or something.

Two trees I used to have no trouble passing between before in an M8 will now bring me to a shuddering halt.

And I do mean shuddering in the literal sense

Ground viz mode now includes more detail it seems.  I think b/c so many were whining about GVers turning the detail down, etc, etc.  It has affected my frame rate in a plane when I used ground vis mode (full vis mode is about the same if not better).  I just need a new computer.

HT gets carbon credits on trees. Expect the runways to be lined with em soon.

It was one of the more legitimate whines ever made though.
You can still turn the detail down. Its just that you can no longer see the GVs behind the now invisable trees and hills when they are behind t or under them
