You do know that the M-18 was not a tank, right?

It was a tank destroyer. A tank is any armored vehicle that can support troops with heavy fire power. EX, the cannon, coaxial gun, and turret mounted guns.

But in the broadest of prescription's, it is a tank. It only once you go into details that it is not a "tank." Just like a plane is any thing that flys in the air. But then you go more into details that we have fighters, bombers, and fighter bombers.

So by your definition the Bradley is a tank too?  How about the M3 with the 75mm AT gun mounted?  Or any of
the Hanomag series with cannons or rockets?

Definitions matter...the M-18 had very very light armor and an open top.  It's not semantics to say it is not a tank.
