Title: getting started
Post by: m109a6 on April 10, 2008, 06:51:57 PM
Sup all. I got a question for you. Myself and some other members of the LYNCHMOB squad are looking to play some more historic missions and help out in anyway possible.
Is there anything we have to do in order to fly in the AvA. I know you guys have a solid team and method behind your madness and out of respect we don’t just want to jump right in unannounced.

Hope to cyall in the air :salute

Not at all, just jump in and have some good times eh!
If you like, you can declare for a side, and gain access to a restricted forum for tactics and such.
But it's not nessecary.

M109, you and the Lynchmob are more than welcome to wing up with us, The Avengers on Mon & Thur nights, our squad nights.
We are a mission oriented squad and we usually have a battle plan prior to logging on. Because of how the war scenairo plays out I would suggest that you guys pick one side or the other and stay with it for the duration but this is not required. Also if you are Axis you may ask Jaeger for a mission when you are on, he is the Axis commander.
 Welcome aboard

I've been in the AvA recently just to check out this War you guys have going on.
What I think would help a lot is a country vox channel posted on the MOTD in big, bold letters.
Along with the channel number, post some simple instructions for new people coming in. Also mention this forum in the MOTD.

Also I noticed that the .SR command told me I wasn't in a squad, when I'm in a squad in the MA. Maybe there should be only 2 squads in this arena, one for each side. Players would be encouraged to join one if they wanted to play on a regular basis.

As far as rules of engagement goes, you really need to be realistic about it, they're unenforceable.
A fight is a fight whether it's on the street or in a cartoon plane, there are no hard and fast rules.
