Does anyone here own a new HDTV that has been professionally calibrated?
-
I dont, im poor :(
-
Btw, I wonder why HDTVs are not calibrated right away after they're built :noid
Now I'm gonna end up spending for something that should have been done in the factory!
-
Its a secret conspiracy to make consumers send more money :noid

On the back of the TV you'll find the manual adjustment for the flux capacitor. Once you do that it will be calibrated.

I got the package deal on my hdtv - the reason for the need to recalibrate I was "told" was because the factory sets them to look good in bright lighting setups - like at a Best Buy or other mega store - and that you need it to be readjusted to your HD inputs from the provider - my family room is much darker -especially when Silat and the sheep.... oh never mind, forget I said that... move on..... so it does look good now - what he actually did and if it was actually necessary - i really couldn't tell you .. i got it at a discount cuz it was on sale and the dude is in my golf league and it was Super Bowl weekend coming up and ... mostly the kids watch Disney channel on it ... lol what a waste of money :)
