I printed this and marked it as a reminder! I am curious though if there are objectives for each side and any restrictions on fuel, load-out/armament or altitude on any of the aircraft.
Also, just show up and be assigned by the CM/Co's? I'm not biased myself but I would prefer a Typhoon for the Allied side or a 109G6 if Axis. It's all fun for me.
Thanks!

Hiya Westy,
These 'Saturday Night Events' are structured a little differently from the Snapshots or other organized scenarios. There are no restrictions on ordnance, and no designated CO. Basically, you just show up and fly the planeset any way you like.
The function of the CM is to make sure that the sides don't get TOO out of balance, and to reset the fields if that becomes neccessary.
Hopefully, we'll get some tools and a log file parser later on that will enable us to actually score the event. In the meantime, please consider this event a first step.

(http://www.ropescourse.org/cdaddog.jpg) The propeller is just a big fan in the front of the plane to keep the pilot cool. Want proof? Make it stop; then watch the pilot break out into a sweat.

Sounds good Vadr, thanks for the reply! I'm aiming to be there so watch your "12" !!

Sounds good but...
I'd be there after the kids go to bed too, but the event will be over by then (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif) .
Any way that the event can be kept open until later in the night? For us on the west coast, the event ends at 9:00 PM (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Yeah, we are talking about that right now. if I can get a West Coast CM to keep an eye on it (probable), we'll keep it open 'til Midnight PST.

Was a good idea and a bad plane set for allies, the A5 so far out classes the allied fiters as to make it a joke. This of course was not "historically true" just "AH true" you really cannot have a "historical event" with AH setup of "cannons high" But it was a good effort Vadar I just couldn't take the A5 advantage too long before I was just sick of it all.

Please bring this to the General forum so we can flame you as you deserve (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Of course those lille things hanging on Spit's wings arent cannons. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) just fakes (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Fw 190A-5 outclasses Typhoon? Not if I see Jerry first. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Sure the A-5 is a little faster than the Spit IX but if Jerry doesn't have an altitude advantage, or if he chooses to turn fight, he is dead meat. And don't forget that some Spit units were still operating the Mk. V during the period depicted in this scenario!
What's this about cannons? I'll take the high-velocity guns on the Typhoon or the Spit over the dinky MG 151/20 any day.
A great matchup, and I wish I had been in town to fly it.
