Saw this at LGF and was blown away. It's worth listening to all 9 minutes or so.

Not bad at all, whats weird thou is my boss has a son thats 16 and he would give that guy a real run for his money if not better, the kid has pure talent with either Acoustic or Electric.. some people have pure talent, while others have to work hard at it

just had an argument (druken of course) with a friend about who does the best cover of :"little wing".
wish I had this a week ago.
nicely done. quite impressive.

Impressive playing, but a little of that goes along ways for me. Never been into music where the guitar does that type of playing throughout the song.
-
That a ghastly guitar sound he has going there.
I firmly believe that technical excellence in an instrument ruins music.
Technical proficiency is all that is required to create a truly excellent piece of music. Over-playing detracts from the music.
This is something of a general comment as I didn't watch much of that clip. The guitar sound made it difficult for me to listen to.
I have never liked acoustic guitar, though. Some classical stuff is alright.... folky nylon string stuff... but other than that...It doens't do anything for me.

possibly....but not likely. Monte was voted one of the top 50 guitar players of all time by Guitar Player magazine readers. I've been playing for 28 years and I can tell you that he is a virtuoso. Check out 'Six String Wooden Friend' which he played at the NAMM show last year, or 'When Will I' from his Austin City Limits performance.
