I'm not going to tell you how to CIC, but the AHEvents website was designed with the ride request specifically to allow you to avoid sending out extra emails. Not to mention that some squad CO's may not have checked their email or the boards over a Saturday/Sunday weekend due to family or other personal business. I'm flying Axis this setup, but I'll tell ya that if I was Allied and didn't get my requested ride only because it was only on the AHEvents site, I'd be a little honked. It's much more efficient to boot.

If I remember right, Daddog posted 8 steps on how to be a frame CiC. Oh yes, here it is...
2. E-mail everyone on your side (Allied or Axis) and ask the squad C.O.’s what they would like to fly. Give them the list of AC available and let them choose. Explain to them you can’t promise they will get what they want, but you will try. Get this out as soon as possible. E-mail your side C.O.’s here. This should be done Saturday or Sunday at the latest.

You can find all the squads listed for Friday here.
http://ahevents.org/fso/side_assignments.html
You will see all the squads listed, the side they are assigned to and how many they expect to show up for that frame. I would suggest you always e-mail both C.O. and X.O. incase someone drops the ball. This would be true of any squad/s you communicate with. If you don’t see two different e-mails for each squad contact the Admin CM who sent you the orders.

For the most part everyone got what they requested.
It's much more efficient to boot.

What exactly do mean?
-
The side request cannot be updated mid-frame due to a change we made to keep new squads from registering that was messing up the emails, etc. So it is best to give the CO's a heads up.

Thank you!
Some guys didn't even request anything. I missed the deadline & two squads have been brought over.

It goes to show that no matter how good a job you do you can't please everyone.

Things have changed a bit since I made that sticky post, but you are still right on track Rattfink and have nothing to worry about. What Stoney was pointing out was the events site now lists (if the squads did it) their requested rides for Allied and Axis sides under ride preference.
http://ahevents.org/fso/side_assignments.html
I will have to update that sticky. Nevertheless you are early with the orders and I know every C.O. appreciates your giving us plenty of time to practice our rides.

Copy that. <<S>>

What exactly do mean?
I meant was that there's duplication of effort in having folks post both a ride preference on the AHEvents website, and then sending out an email asking for something that asks for that same information. And, you'll notice that a lot of squads have started putting both an allied and axis ride request, per SLED's guidance after 1000 Miles of Ice and Fog.
It goes to show that no matter how good a job you do you can't please everyone.
Sorry to ruffle your feathers, is wasn't my intent. And, I appologize for not remembering that that technique is recommended in DD's sticky. Just trying to throw some advice your way.
