Why do you all still bother?!? Since h2h is gone, where do you all host your terrains? Is there any point to making maps anymore?

Offline missions seem to be popular at the moment.And it's not about bothering.Once you start making maps you can't give up ;)

Since h2h is gone, where do you all host your terrains?

The online main and other arenas.

Is there any point to making maps anymore?

The point of making maps never changed. It was never just for H2H.

I understand the question, because I asked myself that a few times after H2H died, but as soon as the offline missions came out, it was like "There we go!"  Now missions won't always have to be flown over the same ol' terrains.  They can be mission specific, in any enviroment. An MA map with 200 fields is not necessary for most missions.  Now they can be streamlined and customized to get the most out of the mission.  Now, both sides(map makers & mission makers) can work together and create some really stunning missions, IMO.

Thinking about bringing back Malta, and adding in part of Sicily to make it more realistic.

Are there actually any limits on how large a map can be (as in square miles), assuming you don't want to submit it?

Here are your settings:

512 x 512 «- MAX
256 x 256
128 x 128
64 x 64    «- MINIMUM

They are in miles. :)
