Title: White screen o' death
Post by: IceQube on April 12, 2008, 11:46:13 PM
Greetings

I am having problems getting Aces High to run on my system. After installing and setting up the video, I click on "Offline Practice". It loads things up and then goes to a blank white screen and then a message 'aceshigh.exe encountered a problem and will shut down now.'

I used to run AH on this same computer with no problems. I recently formatted my HD's and reinstalled my programs from the OS up. My hardware hasn't changed and I didn't add anything new to the system. HELP! :)

System specs:
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
1GB RAM
WinXP Pro w\ServPack2
NVidia GeForce 7300 GS 512k w\latest drivers

Appreciate any help you could give me.

There is a problem with the offline mode right now ever since the latest patch.  I'm sure HTC is working quickly to get it remedied.  In the meantime, if you have an online account, that works and you should be able to log in.  Otherwise you'll (and the rest of us) will have to be patient I guess. :aok

Try deleting the 'video8.cfg' file in HTC/Aces High II/settings.
this usually cures it as its happened to me before.
