Title: JEEP UPGRADES
Post by: belkin11 on April 13, 2008, 03:29:37 AM
The Jeep. Not the most usefull of the vehichles, but it has come in handy MANY times for me, the only thing i dont like about it is the gears...
What i mean is it only has three (besides L). the only thing i think the jeep needs is another gear.A fourth gear, it would make the jeep faster.
Also, i think you should have the option to take off the .50 cal, might seem stupid but oh well.
just an idea. :)

I'm not 100% sure, but the gears are almost certainly the same in AH as they were during World War II.

If what you suggest was put into practice in real life, then there's a chance it will come into AH, but if what you're suggesting never happened, then there's next to no chance of ever seeing it in AH.

Also, I don't know whether they ever did use Jeeps without the .50 gun, but even if it were used this way (I suspect it was) what use could we possibly have for it in Aces High?  The .50 is the only active defence our Jeep has, and it's not much of one, to say the least.  In game, the Jeep's best bet is to try and outrun its enemy.

(However, it would be nice to have a Jeep with a recoilless rifle, if these were used in WWII.)

i for one am all for the recoilless rifle for the jeep would open up man more options for the jeep to be used.  Have to make it where it wouldn't fire on the run though i think.

Why would you want to do that?

One night, I went spawn camping in a Jeep.  :aok  I landed 3 kills (1 M-8 and 2 M-16's)!  :lol  Then I went tooling around hunting and got another M-8.

That single .50 is one awsome weapon for light armored especially when combined with the speed of the Jeep.
